People have been saying the “days of the rep” is over since I started 25 years ago. It is basically the global warming of our industry. We should have been dead in the water years ago. I make a ton of money compared to the hours I work. Some of my friends in other industries make a considerable amount less.
But hey if it really is gonna die…Amazon is hiring.

Management must grow a pair and get rid of the extremely low value pharma rep position. AI Marketing is the Presence and Future!

Think they find the next lackey suck up to fill a spot. The AI for regular citizens use is an advanced search tool. That’s it. Do your research. AI would denote that the machine is learning and…. Creating. It’s just stealing and because Americans are dumber than ever, we go oooh and ahhhh. The government will never allow us to have real AI capabilities. The average American has a third grade reading level. That’s also by design as well. So keep feeding the “AI” narrative or just go out and be happy.

Keep believing that sandwich boy. What drives business is medical journal studies/articles, formulary approval/3rd party payment, KOL support (99% don't see sales reps), TV advertising, sampling (easily accomplished through AI marketing), and most importantly drugs that have unique advantages (per package insert) versus brand and generic competitors (more funds are needed in R&D!). Sorry buddy, the pharma market is no longer the 1970s! We in Finance have been making a very strong case to cut the sales force by at least 75%! Have fun at Jimmy Johns!
