Core 4

Things that make you go hmmm.

Does anyone else see what is going on here? We have a new dynamic that involves TAS, ADAR, MSL, MPA. At the end of the day? Who is your most essential person on this team. I saw a few posts back that said that TAS were not needed, and I can only laugh at that. Maybe the TAS in your area are not effective, or just plain don’t work. Not in our area. Our TAS has well established relationships and has helped get others connected with key stakeholders in the office.

MSLs will also be necessary to disseminate information that is not on label when requested.

The increase in hiring ADARs and ARMs wasn‘t necessarily needed as much as it was to get rid of or retrain the ones that you have to be like the effective ones. I’ve had both kinds, and when you have one that sits at home, and never makes in person visits, good luck with that. Thank goodness they’ve hired one that is the complete opposite and the offices love her. We need the ADARs to close the gap, and yes the SKILL of selling is necessary, even though they aren’t selling the product.

MPAs. I’m mixed about the value they will have. Agreed that they were effective at their prior ISS role, but technically if they don’t have prior connections or relationships, they aren’t going to get in to the office/hospital and systems; and therefore may need TAS help to connect with the customers in the key accounts.

Has anyone else noticed that ABLs aren’t in the CORE 4? it feels like they will eventually get rid of the ABL position, and make them all MPAs. If the company did their due diligence, and retained and hired only top tier TAS, essentially we wouldn’t need an ABL to do field rides and “observe”. This new team concept needs someone to work collaboratively; hence the MPA position becomes more important and it will be about managing and partnering on what needs to be done in the account.

Just some thoughts that make a lot more sense than having too many layers of leadership.

Well, at some point since these ADARs are being paid $200k, at what point are they going to pay the reps for selling a biologic? $140k isn’t cutting it considering they put unattainable goals on the table.

And for that matter no one gives a sh*t about the “increase” in bonus payout when we won’t be able to hit 100%

We are living in clown world with all these layers!
Right?

I’ve been here long enough where they’ve implemented a similar model, and then it reverts to “simplify” which means eliminate some of the layers to bring the “field facing” team closer to executive leadership.

The change agent currently in place will eventually leave and we will go back to a more efficient and effective organization.

Investors don’t take kindly to unneeded layers.

I accepted the offer $280,000 plus plus plus and I get all the points + JW & Hyatt’s Parks, I’m a Badger now! And my partner and I is so EXICTED

Not sure the ABL role will ever go away. I’m in a different therapeutic area and they just added 60 reps and 6 new ABL’s. Reduced the ABL span of control to 8-10 max but most areas have 9 reps. So more field rides if you have less reps on the team. What is an MPA anyway? And are they maybe piloting a new structure in CV?

Absolutely. I was displaced and quickly caught by another company selling another biologic, with salary and incentive reflective of that. Now that my Novartis brainwash is lifted, I keep coming back to this board to remember why I thought I was stuck and it was just like that everywhere. Hint: it isn’t. There are great jobs out there. In fact, I doubt there are any who treat their employees worse than Novartis does.

On the fun CRM breakout. Part of the MBOs for MPAs is conference calls. Between those and the ABL and all of these fun training, agilify up4growth. Novartis is open to allowing days out of the field to accommodate.

Work Life Balance used to matter.

So who has the most IMPORTANT role. That would be the TAS, without TAS there isn’t need for reimbursement, or MSL assist with provider needs because TAS creates the need. Please Novartis treat your TAS better, they should matter the most. If you are a manager and have outstanding TAS on your team, they should be treated accordingly, paid accordingly not the same as the others, treating everyone the same and praising mediocrity especially when we are on a group goal destroys the moral of high performing TAS.

Not dismissing role of tas but there are plenty of accounts in NS that are not accessible by commercial colleagues but are accessed by medical and utilize Kesimpta. Reimbursement and medical play a vital role, as does sales.

Not sure why cafe pharma has developed this mentality of field force teams taking down each other to elevate their own contribution.

Who cares who is more important? The problem is the core 4 structure is a mess. Everyone has a diff manager who give diff direction. TAS reps still waiting to hear whether ADAR or ARM has which account in my area. Then You have the Director of Priority Accounts and the MPA’s trying to organize everyone. Wonder how long this structure will last.

Only a moron would use "diff" but utilize the full spelling of the other words.
