Once again executive leadership hiring their buddies. WHAT IS THE DEAL WITH THIS COMPANY HIRING WHO THEY KNOW REGARDLESS OF SKILL SETS? The drugs sell themselves for the most part in HIV so I supposed Gilead just feels they have the luxury of not worrying about experience and talent in the space. It's like this all over this company.
 


This dude is a walking disaster. No wonder he spent 5yrs as a consultant "aka unemployed".
He would debate a corpse on stuff he has no clue about.
Just zero business IQ.
But he does have the Top Territories for HIV in the galaxy for 7yrs so he will win P Club, hands down.
So that award in Prep doesn't mean crap & DW winning his first 2 yrs as RD proved that but Brian will validate that award is useless now .
(But reps are nice & real good. RDs past and present not so)
 


I had the weird and unpleasant experience having this new FL RD Brian at a couple of workshops. Why in the world would Wendy hire this guy let alone move him from redneck land putting him on Miami.
My treatment rep knew him at Pfizer. He had been a lifelong rep, never managed anybody yet comes across telling us who know 10x more that we are wrong. He tries to correct everyone when he is actually wrong & totally clueless of what he is yelping about.
Never in my life has someone cut off reps, disagreeing with people who have decade of experience in HIV as well as countering/contradicting other managers and matrix members. Doesn't listen to anyone and if he hears what he doesn't like, then he runs over to Wendy crying in her ear. Those 2 were adjoined twins all week. I truly don't understand the connection there????

This is the problem with Gilead. They don't know how to compete. If all efficacy/safety were equal among our products and competition, Gilead would lose every time. There's a lot to really love here at Gilead but I've gone backwards in skills since coming here 5 years ago. I've learned to accept the activity check box busy work because they compensate me well but it makes the job depressing.

His replacement for FL Brian, I have no clue what rock in back woods Mississippi they found him. He just isn't a fit for either the geography nor the position.
Great for him that he has some of the best reps in Prep covering FL. Get ready to clap for him in Jan as P Club winner. Looking D4P Attainment, no way he doesn't win.

Never been a manager just a career rep in backwoods Mississippi
(start up & skin graft companies the reps are called Account Managers as 1st line sales REPS)
Then you put him w the top territories in the nation for 7 yrs w the top HIV mkts????
I guess w long time HOF reps, that is one way to ensure he doesn't fail.
 












Sure is. At the bar reps where wagering how many offices he will get kicked out of and some saying on field rides will not take him to any big writing offices rather all the low decile writers

Why would Wendy risk her reputation by hiring such a bad hire for such an important launch? She's going to do her best to make him look good even if she's got to carry his a**.
