As a former ViiV Rep, share your honest opinion. Do you really feel L4P is gonna be the block buster drug that Gilead believes it will be?

Is Gilead’s launch preparation better than ViiV’s was for Apretude?
 




If you think this was a launch meeting, you likely have not clue. You probably were the one who came up with the Drag show to exploit the mischaracterastion of the true super majority of LGBTQ+ community.
The meeting horrible as a launch meeting plain and simple. Agree w other the 4pm kick off session the 1st day was awesome then it crashed off a cliff after that
 


Sadly it was a very poorly planned launch meeting for a drug that will be revolutionary changing the course of this dreaded disease that has effected my people for 30yrs.
The Prevention PrEP team needs to do better unless L4P can sell itself.
 


The drag show was pure exploitation and openenly making fun of the small minority flamboyance in our community.
90% of us want to be treated normal not like a freak show or oddity for straight people's amusement or the shock value a small % must have to feel important & attention.
The meeting was a dud- period!
 




Hey reps you been in the industry 15-20yrs so let's spend 4hrs over 2 workshops telling you have to communicate w your FRMs and Educators. Hilarious
(If you have question about denials- who do you contact. If you have question about how to inject, who do you contact???? WTF dugh I have no idea. Maybe smoke signals.)

The worse 2 workshops of the entire week. I felt sorry for the poor RD Ronald who was tasked to lead these workshops because it was so stupid & common sense that a kindergarten kid would know who to contact. It's like they think reps live in a silo on the grid & don't know how to pick up the phone & call a FRM or enter info on portal.
Both sessions I literally saw several tables just laughing at how ridiculous this was.
EDs, fyi we do communicate for a living in case you didn't know.
 


This is typical Gilead. This is how they "train" us and then when they promote within they wonder why we have inept leadership. I'm just glad it's all over and I can just get out there and sell. All the training and meeting prep and then the humiliating role plays and Matrix workshops are almost unbearable. Now we don't have to worry about being humiliated like this again until the NSM so all good.

I ve been out in the open proud gay more yrs than your wanta be liked self has been alive. Go back to the 20% extreme freak show that made our community a circus side show imagine the past 5 yrs.
Ones like you have ruined the LGBTQ+ , you freak side show flaming dork! Most in our community wants your freak shows. We want to be left alone without the spotlight and be treated, repected, viewed normally.
You flaming clowns are viewed in our community like the straights view of radical skinheads.
YES Meeting was bad for any meeting let a launch.

Hell NO. I expected it to be 10x better with all the hype and expectation the past 2yrs. But it was substantially less.
Viiv took the professional approach and Amp up the volume of motivation all week.
Sadly Gilead used the week as a HQ new hire training week. This is the 2nd mtg with leadership-- NSM and Launch, I have major concerns w our EDs and some RDs. They just don't seem to be leaders and inspiring. Maybe decent managers but not leaders of people. Ashley is the real deal though.

Agree Ashley is wonferful.
I haven't been around Linnea much other than zoom calls and she seems good.
The 3 RDs seem like a 3-horse mess.
Someone said LA RD Matt was passed 3 different times for the 3 ED spots? He exhibited more leadership in breakouts and workshops than any of the 3 EDs. He will be good in his new role.
Btw who are those 2 RDs from FL? Interesting say the least.
 


As a Product Launch Meeting- was Bad.
As a Product Training Meeting- was just OK.

All comments are valid about L4P Launch Meeting. Gilead did miss the mark big time for a Launch. The most hyped drug in decades & after the 2 hr opening session, was huge disappointment.
My exp w other companies, it are the EDs & Marketing who organize & design so that is were the accountability & responsibility lay.

Serious question

Why are we Marketing PrEP so heavily to the very population of people who’ll still have ZERO protection from chlamydia, gonorrhea, syphilis, herpes & HPV?

With one mouth we shout “Remove the stigma of HIV.” But with the other, we all share ofc the stigma by exploiting the fear surrounding it so we can profit from the stigma.

PrEp meds makes people feel protected while leaving them vulnerable to other STIs.

PrEP Marketing is psychological manipulation.
The illusion of protection when the truth is you’re still vulnerable to chlamydia, gonorrhea, syphilis & herpes.
