HIV PrEP sales EDs

What is going on with the 3 sales ED in Prep/Prevention. I know Prep is Gileads simple primary care division but even so, you would think EDs would have some level of business IQ.
After meetings and all the calls, I think the reps now understand the level of quality driving this ship.
 


The worse one -Anita's colossal hire mistake took place a couple of years ago w a DEI quota mandate over alot more qualified canidates, and that is not on VP Ashley or Linnea.
Wendy likewise was hired before Ashley & Linnea were in charge of Prep.

Sonya is both a Ashley & Linnea hire.

None have the skills to be 2nd line leader of leaders while Anita should not be even be a 1st line leader. She is the worse of the 3.

Sonya might have promised and time will tell.
She being Anita's BFF for 25yrs isn't promising.

Wendy lovely personality and nice but doesn't have leadership skills. She has task management skills which her previous roles in Payer were, but not leadership skills.
Cheerleading & pee wee sports stuff come across as Fake.
We all know now she doesn't have an eye for talent and can't hire as the FL RD is likely the worse in the entire company.
She is out of position as ED, needs to be back in a single contributor role.

You are a racist POS questioning my Ebonics, almost as bad as some of the talk show sessions with made up slang names.
You would never survive 12hrs in hood as ex cons would rip you up.
And yes 2 of the 3 ERs have no business being EDs and 1 doesn't need to be managing anybody anywhere any place any time.
She is the WORSEY period.
Let's just hope Lenacapivar can sell itself like Descovy did.

ASHLEY is Great- the real deal. Future President if not CEO of a company one day soon.

LINNEA is good. Still learning US market but great communicator & leader with good judgment. Basically a VP

-SONYA is too new to determine after 3 months but if like her friend of 20 yrs Anita whom got her the job over much better qualified internal canidate, then she will be Anita 2.0.
The First 90 days from national calls & launch meeting, seems to be a good 1st line leader of reps, but not leader of leaders (2nd line).
But already red flags. Heard she tells RDs misinformation & contradicts self often. Even ask questions she already knows to trick people-- that tactic is manipulative & can NOT Trust people like that.

-WENDY is extremely nice & engaging. Professionally too overly rah rah to seem genuine thus comes across as fake. She is obvious not a natural leader & it shows. Good at passing direction from the top.
Hiring is very suspect & questionable! So a poor eye for talent, & doesn't exhibit managerial courage to address some rougue RDs.
Basically a good talent who is out of role. She needs to be in Payer Channel or strategy space of Gilead. (Lord we sure need help there)

-ANITA is just an odd bird personally & professionally. She has poor communication & leadership skills.
Has a big entitlement chip on her shoulder as I ve seen her completely ignore reps and RDs as well as give silent treatment like a spoiled kid. She was a poor RD, worse of the 9, so why would she be a good ED?????
She is the weakest of the 3, and it is not even close. Scary she is the senior of the group with 3yrs in role. Says enough about leadership.

Woke moran. Well if you can't motivate, you can't think strategically, can't inspire and don't have good decision making or people skills, then what would you call a Anita's hire?????

I haven’t looked at this board in at least 15 years, but someone alerted me to this thread. I’m disappointed to see Anita’s name disparaged here. She has been a great leader and deserves better. Whoever you are, please just stop. If the team building exercise got out of hand in your opinion, relax... We all know it was not meant to be a drag show. There were woman and men participating who were not part of the LGBTQ community and were just having fun. They tried… Maybe you are the problem, not them. I agree the meeting dumbed us all down a bit, but there were so many new people that I’m sure they had no choice. Gilead is a great company. They are not perfect, but they try. If you are not happy, then please go find something that makes you happy. I don’t agree with everything going on, but the intentions are good and I’m really excited to make a difference. I would hate to see Anita go (and FYI I’m not diverse). Please go find your purpose if this isn’t it!

Anita is great.. She really is. However this meeting was a huge miss along with a lot of the training. Did you feel empowered when you left? Someone should be held responsible for spending God knows how much money on a meeting that literally didn't accomplish anything aside from allowing the new teams to get to know each other better and interact a little more. Otherwise, money was squandered. That falls on more than just the ED's. This meeting is an example of how dumbed down the training has become at this company. It's embarrassing and humiliating.

Here's the thing though no one is going to leave making this kind of money which doesn't do anyone including the company & patients any good in the long run. Johanna and Dan keep talking about spending money the right way and not wasting it and yet this is how they spend money? It's baffling.

You missed the point of all the 130 reps posting.
They never said Anita was a bad person, just not a good ED and the worse of the 3 EDs.
Simple facts, she doesn't possess the leadership skills or traits like previous EDs did nor has good business IQ with decisions.
She was the lead w the Launch Meeting as the other 2 EDs are new.
Also your comment about seeing Anita not go & you are not diverse. Not 1 post has mentioned race??? WTF you hinting at a race card which is totally invalid because the BEST ED of the 3 is Sonya who is a triple diverse, a black female over 50.
So chew on the FACTS a while. Anita not close to a 2nd line leader & should not been promoted as such 2yrs ago.
We are stuck w her as long as she wants to stay. Gilead way.

You were spot on with comments of launch meeting being dummied down to first year out of college rep 101. Yes we had new hires but ALL are expense as criteria was 5yrs+ exp so it was just a badly planned mtg by the EDs lead by Anita's lead.
And for a significant launch mtg of a historical product it was a pathetic period!

100% Correct Ashley & Linnea are the real deals. President levels in their future.
Yes, Sonya seems to be hands down the best of the 3. One can tell she has natural leadership experience that Anita & Wendy do not & never will. So she likely is a core catalyst moving forward.

Wendy needs to be in another role than sales leadership. Alot of BIG questions including hiring while allowing 2 RDs to control the entire narrative on their terms.
Anita, I don't know about all the business IQ comments but is over her head and exhibits questionable judgement many times over the past couple of years.

PS for a Launch Meeting it was not good and EDs planned it- speaks volumes
