I am not someone who typically complains or calls out others. I just can’t believe what was just presented was cleared by our ET. Marketing just told us customers want more wt loss and Wegovy is not enough. What is our answer? Here is a new sales piece that highlights real world Zepbound superior wt loss to Wegovy to complement Lilly’s data from Surmount. We also include countless paragraphs of CV real world data that obviously providers and pts don’t care about because we are losing the new to brand 7/1.

Look, I get it we don’t have the data and every obesity specialist tells us Zep works better for wt and side effects 90% of the time. When you don’t have the data, you have to win at price. You want to drive a new campaign to compete w a superior product for weight loss? Make them pay more for it.

I thought we were going to a volume based company anyways??
 


One has to be cautious when reviewing the Zep data. I tell my doctors that if their patients want to get the Led out, they need to take Wegovy! Don't be dazed and confused by the Lilly rep. The levy is going to break in our favor. I plan to take the stairway to heaven in winning the Prez award.

You are for sure from marketing. Nobody will tell you how they really feel because they fear for their job. How is the cardiovascular benefit message resonated so far? And tell me the last time a real world trial made any sort of difference to a drugs uptake? By the way, what does that strategy look like after a positive read out from Lilly’s CV trial next month? Keep doubling down on that message, and we will continue to get our butts handed to us.

Tell me you are from marketing without telling me you’re in marketing LMFAO.

Real world data does nothing to influence providers when you have a clinical study that says the same thing. If providers cared about or even believe Obesity was a disease, on top of that you’re now trying to convince them to rx a weight loss drug for an event that may happen 20 years down the road? The target market is not a 65 year-old patient who’s had a heart attack and needs to lose 25 pounds. The patient type is 100% secured for Sema now. But that’s nothing new, the problem is the other 90% of the market chooses the product with greater weight loss less side effects.

“A mouse whisker more” is 20% more by our OWN study at just two-thirds the max approved dose of Zepbound…and we are about to be “unleashed” to reinforce Lilly’s main marketing message.

This will also cause untold harm to the Ozempic brand when one of the main counter-detailing messages against Mounjaro is “they studied us at less than the maximum approved dose.”

And the CVA as a whole just looks awful.

Shocked this campaign was approved. Seriously shocked.

You make a valid point. This study is sema suicide. For both Wegovy and Ozempic. It debunks our Ozempic argument entirely “Mounjaro did not go H2H against our max dose”…. Well, sir it did actually - against your 2.4 dose …

Exactly. Unfortunately too many in senior leadership don’t seem to care Beyond collecting bloated salaries and RSUs. The arrogance and hubris that have been exhibited over the last 4 to 5 years are truly astounding.

Our new Wegovy direction is apparently just “believe.” The problem is that the organization has destroyed all trust and credibility..not just with our customers or the Street but with the rank and file.
 


It’s a job, guys. Go sell the message you’re asking to sell, collect your paycheck, and go home and do fun stuff with your family. We make a great living. And, I don’t give 2 fucks about which one they take - I’ll do my thing, make some bonus, and forget about NNI when I’m not at work. You guys take this shit too seriously.

Reality is if you do care, go somewhere the leadership cares too. Cause it ain’t here! Ignorance and incompetence is the order of the day here. This is the company that was pushing more 2mg use for Ozempic when the pharmacies had zero Ozempic on hand. Thats wasn’t that long ago people.

That’s my point. Nowhere/no one cares. No company is going to shut down if you just do your job and forget about it outside of working hours. Life is too short to be emotional about marketing campaigns, national GLP1 utilization, NNI finances, etc. NNI will function with you or without you. Relax, do what they’re paying you to do and no more, and view this whole thing as just a job. Nothing more. They pay you to make the calls and deliver the messages. Nothing more. Don’t take it so seriously. If you find yourself emotionally invested in all this garbage, take a step back and reevaluate. NNI is NOT invested in you, so don’t spend your time worrying about them. You will be ok.

I’m not an apologist for either brand team but Wegovy is an objective dumpster fire. The entire company benefited from right time, right place while the house rotted from the inside. Too many people in positions they would never have been in had the company not been lucky. And now it shows.

We are where we are regardless of how much you care. You don’t get paid to give a fuck. One of these days, you’ll be near the end of your life, and I’m pretty sure you won’t be wishing that you had cared more about the Wegovy marketing plan. But, I’m pretty sure you might actually have your priorities in order and wished you’d spent your time focusing on the important things in life. Quit wasting time now investing in a company that might cut you tomorrow and never think twice about it. They think nothing of you. Do your job; collect your paycheck; and go do fun things with the important people in your life.
