Eye Care = Toast














Not defending the previous weak leadership, there is no way “Viatris” leadership rights this ship. At there core, they’re a company comprised of industry leftovers.

We are in bad shape. I've been here 3+ years and watched a culture of activity get rewarded over a culture of performance.

We've had 2 launches and how did we do?

Ryzumvi? Absolute failure. Doesn't even sell a million.

Tyrvaya? An easily differentiated option, sub-$100 million and since Q4 of last year our sales are plummeting. Sure, we can blame Medicare, but we have the last place share in the market for other reasons.

What do you think the board was going to do? Just keep paying us to have 2 of the worst launch performances in industry history?

Leadership had to be replaced. I don't know much about any of the new guys, but I hope they can get some things turned and make this place better. I doubt they can do it without replacing 99% of the RSMs and 90% of us. Too much entitlement and complacency in the ECD.

Well then, tomorrow it's back to whining and complaining about change, but the bottom line is we suck.

Shit company, shit people shit strategy shit prouduct. At least the original leadership is gone.
 


With low sales and uncertainty in the Eye care division. Are they even bothering to fill all the vacant positions or is there a hiring freeze until they decide the future of this division?

Sounds like the new leadership is on the thread. I’m not defending the old leadership but there is no path to eyecare success. The lack of communication is deliberate, stay silent and have the rest of your top paying reps and managers leave and backfill them with much cheaper talent

You sound like a pussy. What has any DM, RSM or VP ever said anywhere that caused your performance to be better. For me, never. Get out and make calls and grow. That simple.

Facts are we are a failure. Wake up and look around. We have a 2.4 share for a reason-as nice as former leadership was with all their loving messages, we screwed this from the jump and had leadership that hid from us how miserably we were performing. If you want some cheerleading to accompany your sorry reality, join the Girl Scouts.

Best case scenario, new leadership stays out of our business. Last thing I need is someone talking fancy phrases about change management . Just get me some coverage, some budget, and some samples and pay me.

I appreciate the Kool Aide you’re drinking. Our access is worse, the field has gotten crowded w Alcon’s drug, doctors love Alcon verses the latter w Viatris, there is no new meaningful data coming out on either drug, you’ve cut every budget in commercial, the turnover is high and not stopping. Scott put his lackey in charge….spend 5 minutes talking to him and you’ll have zero confidence in this ship being course corrected. Those aren’t excuses rather than indicators of limited success.
