FRMs still have more cross-functional visibility, than RDs. The success of your business DEPENDS on us pulling the scripts through.

So whether FRMs stay or go, FRMs will walk away more marketable & have greater career flexibility: either stepping into another FRM role or an RD role (since FRMs are able to speak to collaboration with the Sales Team, unlike most RDs who are one dimensional because they have zero payer experience).


So that puts FRM experience above your career trajectory.

Min qualifications for a RD even at a startup is successful sales experience with management training or in-house rotations. Many FRMs have never been a sales representative.
Reality check girlfriend. You see all the Reimbursement people being laid off across the industry? This because direct to consumer models and reps are doing double roles with their accounts.
FRMs are vital on buy & bill products the first couple of years then they are a disposable asset thereafter.

If FRMs are so unneeded then riddle why Gilead still has FRMs & paid Top Dollar to recruit more FRMs. Clearly Gilead has data insights that you’re not privy too, that proves the value of the FRMs.

Janitors don’t get paid the same as Teachers.
Teachers don’t get paid the same as Principals & Principals don’t get paid the same a Superintendents.

Moral of the story.
Sales make the salary that sales make & FRMs make the salary that FRMs make.

Can personally confirm both 240k high and several 230s with FRM Associate Director title.
Jordan created her own internal conflict and moral issues bringing FRMs same position but 50k difference in pay top to bottom.
