Legacy PrEP Reps are Worthless

New to Gilead this year with HIV Prevention. I am shocked by many things with this division from lack of strong leadership to worse data I have ever seen in my 15yrs, to mostly the legacy reps who have been here for a while are just bad. The most sensitive lazy people I have seen.
They are the reason Prep has such a bad reputation. With new VP & EDs, I hope they clean out their sorry sorry A...

There is a lot of entitlement here at Gilead. Sales teams don’t have to work that hard because the drugs sell themselves aside from Trodelvy and Livdelzi so they don’t have sales skills.
 


I am in Treatment and my Prep counterpart is worthless Bitch. Literally & Figuratively.
She blows off meetings and doesn't attend, then she does provides zero input into when she does attend. She is just not a nice person and why sales have been in the crapper with complete open access even Medicaid.
She literally only works in first office maybe 10am and last 2am to go handle personal stuff. Throw in 30-60min lunch she only works 3hrs a day, 4hr max if not lunch .
She is the most bitchy mean girl attitude you ever met.
All Treatment & Prep EDs as well as both VPs know all abound her. Her new RD & ED will have hands full with this one. A Royal Pain in the backstabbing As!
Good for me is the new reps they hired in the area are workaholics and so far I have really enjoyed working with them as they seem like the real deal.
I agree with the post about the current 60 legacy reps. Many are worthless, lazy, trouble makers with HR on speed daily to protect their $150k PT job working 3-4hrs a day.

I am new in Prep and dont know about legacy reps being lazy Part time floaters, but I can tell just in our meeting workshops most of the new reps can sell 10x better..
It was pretty shocking because we just got trained on Descovy. Legacy reps could not answer objection nor competitive information and could not close if paid million $. I was blown away how bad there sell skills were to the new hires who most don't even know the space.
However that is a huge red flag because if they were working min 40hrs a week and really selling then their skills would not be as bad as they are.
A couple reps said their breakout legacy reps were pathetic.
 


I don't know about all the 60 orginal Prevention reps, but agree at NSM & Launch, they were not impressive. 90% could not sell water to a desert. All they can do is say the old canned sales model radio pitch saying same thing over over over with every call.
We can pay a contract rep for 75k to do what the orginal Prevention reps do.
Litterally there are maybe 1-2 per region good. Most of the new hires are better then the rest. Just reality and facts.
(Probably cuz only 3 of the orginal 9 RDs are any good)
Good new soldiers are in town!

The "new soldiers" seem to do nothing but post their idiotic grievances on here.
 


All Prep reps are just simple primary care 1min radio commerical with every single call sounding the exact same way 6x a day 5 days a week 4wks a month 12 months a year. It's a broken record. The dam workshops every meeting is like new college grad week 1 on the job. It's ridiculous and the legacy RDs are to blame. They stink and can only mandate memorized call glow. They all are robots.

Even the new market expansion field activation reps are even a higher level as they will call on specialty Nurologists & OBGYNs.

Well I know they can't dress worth S. Many look like bums from the street just rolling out of bed looking ragtag . My IDs have commented on it in my area of LA. One said, doesn't Gilead pay enough to look respectable. She was appalled the way Prep reps dress.
