HIV Prep IC Plan is Chinese

New to Gilead. Who in the world designed this hideous IC Plan for Lenacapivar launch?
The total dollars are nice if you are in the #1 terr in the #1 region.
But how in the world do you get to that dollar amount.
The IC team's call was an internal combustion explosion of parts!
 


Need an MIT interpreter to explain this jambalaya hot mess!
The messages flying across 135 reps during the calls were funny but same time concerning.
Unfortunately we have not started off well in any capacity. I see the good reps & RDs leaving within 6 months if this doesn't rapidly improve in all functions.
Better get S together quickly.

HIV finally got a taste of the Covid BU IC Plan. If the new IC continues to follow the IC given to the Covid team, then believe me You Ain’t Seen Nothing Yet. The IC will change Every Single Year due to errors made by leadership that make it easy for certain people to blow out the IC. Once the error is discovered because it’s so undeniably obvious, the IC will change for the new year, only for the reps in the BU to discover another glaringly obvious error.

And guess what. You may even be lucky enough after 3 - 4 years of leadership changing the IC on a yearly basis, to see the IC change in the middle of the year like the Covid team experienced. Yes, you read that correctly. You too can go from the middle - bottom, to suddenly being ranked at the top or vice versa.

I wish the Prep IC plan was just 1 of the dozen Mandarin languages. This is like the BC Greek Scrolls.
Love the 81k cap bonus for 6 months but the actual plan makeup is a total Cluster F Deluxe!
I ve worked many launches with 7 companies and while the dollar amount is good, this is the worse plan metrics & formula period bar none.
This Prep BU has missed the mark all around on everything with the expansion and launch, and the IC is the icing.
 


Most of us reps agree that the money $81,000 in 6 months is great
But the model/formulary is a S show.
It is like intentionally not wanting us to understand the dozen parts so we can't complain

For Prep????-- a Primary Care office selling job 140,000 is pretty good and way above primary care industry average.
If you are looking for 180 200k base then you need to go to Oncology or Kite divisions.
Prep is Gileads division that calls on Primaru Care and Gilead pays a prem with average 130-140k for basic elementary canned 2min Veeva presentations in hallways and being a catering rep.
You will not get 180 200k with other companies as a PC rep. No way.

My sister it's $81,000 bank! Girlfriend I have no clue whatsoever makes up 81k shing shings as long as get that bread. I don't care how it is derived. Could be darts or coin flips or dominos as doesn't matter. Only $81kilos matter sister!
I ll take that to the bank all day and not ask questions. Natta care about who why when how where-- just give me the paper!
(heck 2 RDs in NE whom I ask can't explain it, therefore likely nobody can)
I ll wager my 81k dineros that Ashley Linnea nor 3 EDs can not either)
 


I ve been in the industry 20yrs and there is not a language known to man that can decipher this model.
However I love the 80 Gs.
Now I don't know how in the hell they came up with it. The call was like a 1st day foreign language class you never heard before.
"WTF" was texted a zillion times btwn reps during the zoom.

Yeah no thanks on the 135-145 base pay. Ridiculously below industry standards.

It's literally a Primary Care 101 job. You would not be able to make it 1 day in a technical clinical account selling model like KITE or Oncology. So you need a reality check.
200k total comp (140k+40k+20k rsu) is OVER paying for what Prep does!
It is Gileads primary care division. You are a dime a dozen.
I heard your Launch Meeting was just role play canned IVA, over, over, over like 20x during the week with zero science and if questions on the studies come up EDs said to MIRF it to MS..... so yes you are over paid as any new college grad can do that.
 










I ask my RD of 20yrs to explain it and she said has seen it presented 3x but still doesn't fully understand it.
That in itself tells you it is a F Up IC Plan.
The only thing they got right is $80,000 this Quarter.
