Horrible Leadership

What a disgrace Arcutis has become. Disastrous leadership with the VP of Sales and the ABDs. Clearly Frank has no idea that the culture he thinks exists is all smoke and mirrors. Bad leaders. Bad people. Culture based on lies and fear. So glad I’m gone but hate what remains for friends I have there.

Agree. And add to this that HR is inept and Frank has no idea what is happening with the field team. Sad situation
Frank has meetings with each rep. He has stated that he feels like no one is telling him the truth about how they feel. Maybe it is time we speak up. The LT does like to put fear into the reps. However, there are several managers here that are the best!

Frank is a good guy and genuinely committed to dermatology. The problem is that he is insulated from what's really happening. Sales Teams can't be lead by fear. Combine that with our corporate commitment not raise price enough to have the PBMs move volume and we are doomed. We have been trying to sell this thing since before the beginning and no one is going to buy.

I agree. He is a good guy. We need to do our part and speak up. Frank wants to know what is going on. The fear mongering is awful. These people use intimidation to lead. We will be at our meeting tomorrow. Let’s say something.

I agree with both of you. But many of us have been brave enough to speak up and all that happens is we are negated in what we're sharing. HR is no help. Frank needs to reach out to those of us who have been transparent with him in the past and ask us what's happening. There is only so many times you can raise your hand when you constantly get deflected.

Let’s try to get to Frank this week. We could also have the front desk of the hotel deliver a note to his room. (For anyone rightfully concerned with retaliation). We need to speak up. One person speaking up isn’t enough. Management will not do it because they have to save their jobs. The field has more power than they realize. Anything about rep level costs the company money. Keep that in mind.

This week’s meeting starkly highlighted the profound weakness and lack of dynamism within our Commercial Leadership team. We invited a General to share insights from his book, “We Are Not Robots,” yet Todd and Kent embodied a robotic demeanor that felt almost surreal. The atmosphere was stifled with the cluelessness and uninspiring presence of Cathy and Randy, who seemed ill-equipped to ignite any sense of motivation or vision. The only glimmer of hope came from Mike I, whose exceptional platform skills truly stood out and injected a much-needed dose of energy into the room. As we confront the challenges ahead, it’s clear that our issues stem from a leadership team that struggles to effectively guide and inspire us.

I guarantee that Todd could not name 10 reps in the company that he has ever spoken to on a one-on-one basis. He never engages. He doesn’t try to get to know us. I was told he was like that at other companies. Frank has really tried to create something here. Sadly, he doesn’t realize it is slipping away.

The best chance to speak up is during one on one calls with Frank.

Kent, Randy, and Cathy are leading salespeople, but they are, in my opinion, the most uninspiring group of leaders I've ever encountered. The only explanation for how they got their positions is that Kent and the others are former colleagues of Todd. It's frustrating to see that none of them make a genuine effort to engage, motivate, or inspire us to improve. They lack vision and often rely on vague encouragement like “go get ’em!” Any success we may have achieved cannot be attributed to our leadership team, that much is certain.
