What's hilarious is that they only cut like 2 people - and I think one of them quit - from this team. The other, a VP reporting to a VP, I hear is getting to stay until the end of the year and look for jobs while everyone else that was impacted by these cuts this round is exiting in July. How is this fair? What does he have on the company or Greg?

P.S. This guy has been a VP for like 5 years now and delivered absolutely nothing. Other VPs whom I know in that are impacted in Greg's org including WM actually showed up to work and were held accountable!
WM may have showed up for work and was accountable, but WTF did he deliver? He's walking after only 2 years which seems to indicate that he didn't implement the right strategies and lost the confidence of the SLT. As I understand it, this group enables the scientists who are doing the research and discovery with IT platforms/processes, which makes it massively important to the success of the research organization. It was a critical hire, Greg fumbled the ball by making the wrong one and he sat by while WM destroyed that group by removing trusted key leadership and high achievers. Now, instead of risking another clusterfuck, they are combining the remnants of that group with Drug Development (headed by Matteo), which they should have done in the first place. Of course Greg should be held accountable, but something tells me that in true BMS fashion, he will continue to fail upwards.

For all the shit these SLT deserve, Greg is one of the least deserving. The reason this company is performing poorly is due to poor launches and acquisitions - period. Greg is a nobody that could be replaced with a golden retriever and it wouldn’t impact the growth trajectory

He didn't work when he wasn't cut and used to lead the team before he was effectively demoted to reporting to his former peer's (IL's) direct report, AG.

She just flies around the globe going to conferences. No Pharma experience, a non-practicing MD, and prior to BMS was at Philips in Marketing. Are we really sacrificing talent in our clinical and research teams for these jokers??

I’m no fan of Greg and wish him nothing but career failure, but this is a serious accusation. Dude has a wife and kids who don’t deserve rumors like this. I sincerely hope your sources are credible and you have considered the impact on innocent people.

Preceding this shitshow, there was a dramatic cutback in the number of BMS R&D programs, implying a significantly reduced workload for scientists, which this initiative was purported to support.

Rumor has it that BMS is now trying to sell off the remnants of this egregiously pompous misappropriation of computational budget, but the institutional knowledge lost due to the bloodbath of IT personnel cuts that preceded it is downright criminal. All to fuel an egotistical desire to fund what essentially amounts to a vanity project. Mayo deservedly takes the fall, but who approved the funding? Greg is still cashing his bloated paycheck while receiving a handsome bonus and perks.
