I have worked with Joanna at Baxter and I must confess that she is one of the most arrogant and over-ambitious lady. The writing was on a wall, she was disrespectful to her juniors and made fun of senior leaders. It was a toxic atmosphere while working with her. She never allowed any smart co-worker to go beyond her. I am happy that she is kicked out of the Baxter

Integrity???seriously? She is one of the dishonest and crappy managers in Singapore office. Noone liked her except for her pets like CJ Chen and Jennifer Di. She suffocated us.

Pierro fired her to save money. Simple as that.
the next leaders mandate will be too cut costs- Asia has twice the SGA % to sales to his other 4 regions ( you can look this up)
He was frustrated by this and that there is no plan to grow China.
growing China with current portfolio isnt going to happen, GEM has a mandate to focus on OI
So i suspect after they fail to grow top line . more staff cuts like this will happen.

Pierro is an exceptional leader, and he grew tired of Joanna's manipulative tactics. She kept him out of the loop on many business decisions, so every trip he took to Asia became a learning experience. It wasn't about the money, but rather Joanna's arrogance. She dismissed many high-potential leaders from Baxyer, and now they are all thriving elsewhere.
Oh yes she was so smart that she ensured that Alok, Nara, Dhanjay, George and many more like them were fired by her. She is a feminist and hate people from different culture. She was a culture ruiner.
lets see the 2024 GEM results before you say that
2023 was below sales plan, OI was achieved due to all headcount cuts in establishng GEM
Growth is myopic in GEM . we make zero money in Turkey,India and several other countrys.
China is a basket case we have no plan to deal with VBP and spiralling ASPs and increased costs
I guess a share price of $35 says it all , not to many exceptional leaders at baxter at the moment

One can speculate that Talvis was forced to hire TCS for cost saving reasons, but when he was "ordered" to do some more cutting and saving, he simply left.
Again, Baxter has become what many feared after Joe came in 2016: the next company Joe will tear down into pieces and sell it off.

I agree she was fired but I see her online still it’s weird and all of her reports were immediately moved to other leaders. Now what will happen to the crew she brought with her?
