It’s not like this everywhere

Hey Novartians. I got cut in the most recent reorg and want to send you a beacon of hope from the outside.
Contrary to what every manager constantly parrots, it’s not like that everywhere. There are other companies who appreciate their sales reps, pay and reward them accordingly, and just care about sales numbers, not field rides and metrics.
I wish I left sooner.

What do you mean? It’s really good here for the reps who can kiss their ABLs rear ends and dumb things down to the level of their insecure and mentally challenged ABLs. It’s all about appeasing them and enabling them so they can put their jr high leadership skills on display.

It’s GREAT for those reps! They can coast along on their teammates’ sales. Not as great for the producers, who are focused on sales, trying to see through all the distractions and negativity, never having their individual success acknowledged or compensated.

It is almost criminal how leadership is forcing team goals in rlt. We have teams with multiple states, how is one state affecting another? Chris, you definitely wanted to shake things up. Stop this madness. You’re killing morale.

TRUE. Same here. Do your due diligence in interviewing elsewhere. Ask the questions about their culture and find a much better place to be.

You were cut, not smart enough to figure it out much earlier or proactively.

Oh no doubt, like a frog in a boiling pot. It wasn’t comfortable, but I endured. I definitely forgot how nice water felt!
It’s not like that everywhere. Some companies appreciate the people who drive their sales and celebrate sales success. I may not have been smart enough to leave when the water started boiling, but I made it out with a raise and a severance package. Not really so dumb, after all ;).

Yet here you are like a gilted ex lover who claims they’ve moved on. You look and sound silly.

Eh it’s pretty much just like NVS everywhere in big pharma. As much BS as it is, it’s all many reps know and becomes a comfort zone for them.
You said “big pharma.” Get out and go where the money and appreciation lies. Big pharma sucks. Unless you just like to ride the coattails of the people earning your “team” goal. Then it’s great.

The poor CV kid with the shared goals has never gotten over being sh!t canned. Understand Oncology and MS are the real divisions at this company, no need to keep referencing the past with CV.
