Nah. You need to build them out so that people feel secure before you cut them. And if you are selling off parts of the business, potential buyers need to think you know what you are doing.

Also, the way they're handling this just reflects how abysmal she and her leadership team is. No official announcements or anything, allowing for rampant speculation and fear.
Perhaps if they made some sort of formal announcement and at least explained the logic (LOL-gic?) behind the decision, it would help assuage some of the feeling in R&D that anyone can be moved next which just serves to further erode already fragile morale.
Although I'm not sure why I'm surprised, this clown seems to enjoy leading by fear and intimidation, but I'm not sure if she realizes that the only people who stick around to be led by fear & intimidation are useless lackeys & bootlickers.
