Does anyone have any insights, opinions re: this role. Pay Range, Target Bonus, Viability of Krystexxa, Morale?
Sobi didn't steal any top talent for TLL roles. A manager (who is great) but was fired took a TLL spot, and 2 Neph (Manager and rep) in the south west left. The manager who is highly thought of has nothing to do with TLL. The rep is a TLL. The head of TLL (KM) at Sobe is a Horizon reject, and her experience is almost entirely in Neph. Many of my thought leaders have interacted with her and no one is saying how great she is. I think we can agree that the neph side of Krystexxa is wholly messed up, and the people in it, for the most part, don't get it and never "got it". Agree with the RML role, but the wrong people were in those roles to begin with. As far as morale and resume polishing, where are people going that is better? Horizon is no longer in existence, and the pay and RSU went away with Horizon. Reps with Krystexxa are still making bank compared to just about any other company. Our base salary falls outside the typical ranges for most representative jobs. So, yes, people have problems with change, but I think they will find that "there is no better than here". Sobi will pay less than what you are making here!TLL role was created in a panic after SOBE poached top Krystexxa talent for their TLL roles. It was actually a pretty funny conference call with our general manager (LG) announcing the role as if Amgen thought of it or had been planning it for awhile. The TLL role is essentially a re-do of the failed previous role called Regional Marketing Liaisons (RMLs). The current VP of marketing (JH) created that previous role and then totally failed to create structure or manage the absolute doofus who was the RML director (JS). Then that role and team were eliminated. Now this new role is under the same VP. The role will report into marketing, not sales, so the bonus is annual based on as yet undetermined MBOs. Again, same VP. So it will likely be unclear, shifting, redundant, start-stop kind of thing. It will be funny to watch the SOBE TLLs run circles around Amgen's team.
Morale here is in the toilet. Everybody--and I mean EVERYBODY--is polishing resumes, chilling, and just biding their time. Some are waiting for the last RSUs to drop 1/1/26, some are waiting for the SOBE jobs to post, and some are just chilling until the next things pops up on LinkedIn. Our general manager (LG) has really let our culture just fail. Shame because she was known for culture when she was GM of the previous division. Of course, that was $3000 ibuprofen under the big Horizon doggy TW so probably easier to keep culture then vs now. Medical is just as miserable as sales which sucks when you're trying to engage these sleepwalking rheumatologists.
As far as Krystexxa is clinically concerned, it's an amazing product that, if used correctly, changes people's lives. And its data is simply superior to SOBE's data. Period. Read it for yourself or ask literally anybody who's attended a SOBE ad board. But 26 Krystexxa infusions now approaches $750K. That's fuckin' crazy. So there's that.
If you're looking to do put something nicer on your resume than rep, this could be good for 12 months. If you want to go out to pasture and can effectively use words like cross-functional and stakeholder, this could be indefinitely good for you. But if you're actually smart, good at your job, and want to do something interesting or innovative, you'll likely go nuts here.
Best of luck with everything.
Spot on...maybe a lil scary cuz looks like this was written by someone who knows more than a rep....yeah it's bad here....metrics and told to fuck off when you try to get credit for vials that are YOURSTLL role was created in a panic after SOBE poached top Krystexxa talent for their TLL roles. "Many of my thoughts leaders"..."People have problems with change"....LOLOL....nice one, Randy.Sobi didn't steal any top talent for TLL roles. Sobi didn't poach any top talent for TLL roles. They are currently hiring for Director of Strategic Account roles- it remains to be seen if they poach anyone. Salespeople won't be hired until the end of the year at the earliest. Sobi doesn't offer equity in the form of RSUs, and the salary will be a maximum of $190,000 (for sales). For TLL, they pay 5k less. I don't see them taking "top talent". They don't offer enough money, and on top of that, the car allowance is one of the worst in the industry.TLL role was created in a panic after SOBE poached top Krystexxa talent for their TLL roles.
