America First Legal Files Federal Civil Rights Complaint Against Johnson & Johnson Over Illegal DEI Policies Across Company Operations

Does anyone recall it being stated they wanted 50% of managers to be people of color?
I was part of an ERG start-up with Alex G. It was stated they wanted 11% of all employees to have a particular
‘background’.
It was not people of color. It distinctly said Black managers over five years will be hired.

"J&J is starting in house, where, Sneed said, Blacks make up just 7% of the company's vice presidents and 6% of its managers and directors. By comparison, Blacks make up 13.4% of the U.S. population.

The company set a goal to increase the number of Black vice presidents and managers by 50% by 2025."
MLK said not to look at skin color. We are all Americans. This seems like an arbitrary quota like busing students to far away schools in the 1960’s just to balance demographics at each school. Did not work. Liberal Fail.

Dei is essential to success in business and ultimately profitability. We need more diverse leaders in the company. The goal is for over 50 percent of leadership to be dei.

Thanks for posting this. So the goal was to increase “BY” 50%, which is very different that increase “TO” 50%

Cracks me up how folks on this site always complain about DEI and say that it leads to bad performance and poor decision making. Really, though, pretty much every other thread here is dedicated to wrong moves this company is making; how many of those can be tied to a minority leader? DEI isn’t the issue, my friends

DEI, my friends, is one of many issues at J&J. The company was so much stronger prior to 10 years ago. The difference is staggering. DEI is definitely part of the problem. Saying it’s not a problem at all is crap.

DEI-Stock Price stagnant. It’s a problem. Total lack of competencies. When senior leaders have DEI hiring written into their MBO‘s, it’s clear discrimination against other races.
