What's going on with this company? Are things so bad that the IP may be sold off and the current infrastructure be dissolved?

How much is the IP really worth? The market is flooded with biologics- many which work well enough. The ab wall repair use of biologic has (at least for now) permanently shrunk. More competitors continue to come to market. Insurers are reimbursing many more of the biologics in outpt BR- expect private payor outpt reimbursement to be eliminated in the future.

You may be on the right track. Financial results for 2014 show the following:

Q4 2014 - Regenerative Medicine revenue was $109.3 million, down 5.9% as reported and 5.4% on a constant currency basis, compared to the prior-year period. The decline was primarily due to lower volumes associated with hernia repair procedures, partially offset by growth in breast reconstruction and growth in international markets.

2014 fiscal year - Regenerative Medicine revenue was $428.1 million, down 3.2% as reported and 3.1% on a constant currency basis, compared to the prior year. This decline was due primarily to reduced volumes in our hernia repair business, partially offset by growth in our breast reconstruction business and continued international growth.

Do you think there are really less hernia cases? Or Strattice has failed to produce outcomes worthy enough to justify the added cost of a biologic hernia mesh?
