No. Lifetime medical is not "included in the pension." It is commonly misunderstood and the pension and medical are two separate benefit. For as good as the benefits are at J&J, it is amazing how little employees know about them. Yours is a common misperception. If you meet certain age and years of service qualifications, you can continue your medical benefits after you retire. The actual cost to you will depend on years of service and, I believe, the cost is lower the longer you have worked here. There are also rules around family coverage. This is an individualized calculation so best to call J&J Benefits center to get your estimate. It is also available on the benefits website or Alight app but you will have to dig to find it.
