Medtronic is ramping up the AF Solutions sales force. Can anyone comment on the potential of this position and its growth prospectus given the addition of CryoCath and Ablation Frontiers? Does anyone know what the pay structure will look like (base and total comp?). Thanks.

What is the general feel for how the new products will be accepted in the US once released later this year? It looks like exciting stuff, so what is the opinion of the sales force currently calling on the customer base? Thanks.

The conventional wisdom from EPs...CryoCath was a good purchase by MDT. Ablation Frontiers was a waste of money. The cryo balloon launch looks promising. Will likely dramatically shorten afib ablation case time. It does have some challenges but appears it might get FDA approval in Q2 or more likely Q3.

I sounds as if you work there. How is the environment, team, culture? How have you found it going in discussions with EPs and what do you think of the long term potiential since this is a newer division within Medtronic?

Anybody know what going on with AF solutions clincal specialist? I submitted my resume both through the website and with the local CDRM sales rep who is solid contact/friend. Immediately got a response from the HR person at MDT where I was asked to submit their questionnaire as well as confidentiality agreement I signed when I started my current job with the hospital I work for. I answered the questionnair truthfully and gave a very reasonable desired salary.

This all happened 4-6 weeks ago and have not heard anything since despite 3 calls and 3 emails to the HR person I had spoken with asking for an update/expressing ongoing interest on my part.

I have every qualifaction they are asking for as well as the rec of the local CDRM team, what gives? I almost get the feeling they decided to put interviewing on hold?

Has anyone gotten an interview?

Will they be able to compete with Boston's EP division? What is the feel for this sales force with regards to launching this product?
Also, do they pay high or low base salaries at that target of 225k?

Ramping up sales force of about 70 reps. Product isn't FDA approved yet. Keeping reps whole @ 225k in the interim.

So I applied for AF solutions back in March and up until now my status on Medtonic's site has been "resume under review", now it says status: "filled".

Has it been genuinely filled by a more qualified candidate or did the product never actually get FDA approval like others have said?
