Let’s face it it’s a decent paying job with little to Zero access. It’s not bad if you don’t mind being micromanaged. I’m hanging on as I’m nearing retirement. You cannot have any integrity at all and work in Pharma. Hopefully that doesn’t bother you.
 




Listen there has been zero access for years in both Onc and pulmonary for years! This should come as no surprise. Check your boxes and collect the paycheck. With any luck your boss protects you and you don’t have upper management do a ride along here in the upper Midwest.

It is absolutely hilarious how Mylan (because I can’t use the name Viatris. It’s right behind the new Pittsburgh Steelers stadium name for worst company names! Lol. You can tell that they did not invest in Market Research to come up with that name! Because there’s no way that all of the various segments would have voted on that name. I’m SURE Robert liked it and that was that.) Anyway, I digress. It’s absolutely hilarious how NO OTHER company in Pharma has someone trolling cafe Pharma to tell their employees to leave when they post a complaint. Seriously, you should LOVE LOVE LOVE cafe Pharma comments because this is the ONLY place that you are getting the truth about the situation “on the ground.” ALL of the execs in HQ tell you exactly what you want to hear because Rajiv and Robert are so abusive, nobody will speak up. The emperor has been naked for a very very long time!!! Read these comments and take them to heart. I would if I were desperate enough to run that big hunk of do shit of a company that you drove into the ground since about….eh, 2012, 2013-ish. It was a fantastic company prior to then. I’d do some soul searching instead of telling your most valuable resources to just leave if they don’t like it.

These guys aren’t interested in seeing a rep from “Viatris” about generics more than once or twice. Ever! It is up to Marketing and Sales Leadership to give you something of value to bring to your customers, so that they need to see you! It’s not your fault.

For instance, if I were running Oncology, I would have conducted market research with different levels of Oncologists/Hematologists. Run it with your every day pedestrian Hem/Onc. all the way up through Global key opinion leaders. I’d ask them questions to fully understand what I might possibly help them to solve!?? Shortages? Idk? I’d conduct Key Opinion Leader mapping and see exactly which KOL’s influence local and Regional docs. Then, I’d figure out how to take advantage of those connections and/or relationships. Solve their problems that you can solve around “access, reimbursement, etc.” You don’t have to sell, per se’. Just make it so that you have removed ALL obstacles to your product ending up in the hands of their patients vs the competition’s. There are so many places that you can tip things in your favor along the process. It’s so much more than gaining access to give a doc a stand up detail for 20 seconds, that he doesn’t want to hear. Rather explain to him/her everything you did to help their patients, their office, etc., etc.
