All for D&I but can we get back to science?

I’m all for D&I and I 100 percent agree with the principle of having it as part of our expectations. When I scroll through LinkedIn and Twitter all news related to Genentech is about diversity and equity. Great! But hardly anything about our molecules, indications, or significant approvals. when i scroll through other pharma postings, i read about their scientific progress, and how their science is changing patient outcomes. When they do report their D&I efforts I see highlights on real people and cases, not news stories about their D&I staff congratulating each other. Can we start informing the world about our science again? It’s making me think “do we even have discoveries and scientific progress we are excited about any more?”

"D&I staff congratulating each other"....no truer words ever spoken. This is about Quita and her arse kissing staff. Genentech is a phony company that only wants to look good to the Woke Crowd. At Genentech it's about being enlightened and looking good rather than being productive.

Why do you think our stock price is tanking? It's going to get worse as competitors are closing in on our blockbusters. Take a look at Ocrevus. It is faltering rapidly with new competition, and all the original folks that launched it have been intelligent enough to leave because of the incompetence in home office and the HD's.

This is so spot on. Another post on LinkedIn today about D&I at about 1PM pacific time. Maybe get back in the office and start working instead of posing for diversity pictures.
 
Why does everyone need to REPLY ALL on these stupid birthday emails? I am in Ophthalmology. I am in email hell with the REPLY ALL happy birthday, happy anniversary, happy sabbatical and congratulations wishes…covering 4 ecosystems! What the hell is wrong with this company?. Bunch of clowns

That’s hilarious. I love it. More like a bunch of bud lite drinking clowns. Liberals always eat their own. Eat up.
 
Stop with blaming equity and/or “equality” because ONLY ALL white decisions are guiding this train over a cliff! Your privilege didn’t get you selected to be in “the club.” Maybe they didn’t like you?!?! Like you’ve been telling us for nearly 160 years of free labor and second class citizenry “get over it!”
 
Two points

D&I was on stage taking credit for the return to growth.. equity bonus plan is holding us back but our lack of focus on real results is killing us.

The D&I show is a smoke screen on our lack of real innovated science.
 
Unfortunately, politics and the good ole boys are alive and trying to flourish in Pennsylvania. We have the MAGA boys in Pittsburgh and the liberals in Philly. We are a very divided team. 3 years of bad performance due to poor leadership and incompetence continues. The sh@t show behind the curtain is unbelievable. You speak up, and you are a target. You perform well and show competence, you become a target! You violate compliance and diminish peers, you are rewarded.
Roche needs to clean house of this flawed structure and remove every one of the HD deadbeats enabled by only titles. This structure and LT incompetence is fostering mediocrity. Our science is not being complimented by intelligence or vision in the LT. B-O-B and his cronies must go. He was hired for Pittsburgh pilot initially. Pittsburgh is essentially the mid-west. He is a useless child who fears strong, intelligent women and he is completely unable to foster the talent of this entire PA team. The LT’s weak people management and cowardly leadership tactics will ensure “a bottom of the barrel” ranking once again for 2023.

This is a great point....Genentech used to create great molecules...lets focus on that. Diversity and Inclusion is nothing but labeling and causes greater division. Its a department that doesn't need funded....Human Resources is all you need.
