Am I in trouble??

I’ve been at Horizon and have stellar numbers and reviews. My previous company was Amgen where I left due to a PIP but left before they fired me for Horizon.

question is now that we are Amgen once again will this PIP I had at Amgen affect me once again? Anyone have experience with a similar situation?

Directly no. Indirectly yes.

Of course not, they will never ever know.

I highly doubt that anyone can know the answer to that even if they have been in that situation. I’m sure that technically it shouldn’t affect anything, but if you end up working with or for d someone who knew about, then maybe. Any good manager would not rely on the past opinion of another manager that he/she didn’t even know, so hopefully that’s the case for you even if word does get out.

Now, as far as the ASD who got the boot from Amgen for HR issues, I can’t imagine that she’s not going to be in trouble!

Hate to say it but you are royally fucked.

1. Ok so you left Amgen before they fired you but you have a PIP on your HR file.
2, You will now be an Amgen employee again so the PIP will still be there
3. At best you will be given same PIP or at worst let go.
4. I have known people who have gone through something similar. Never ends well.

Sorry to be bearer of bad news but it’s the truth. My background I’ve been in middle management, sales rep and 2 HQ rotations. I have seen these scenarios first hand. Albeit by exposure at HQ but yeah it’s not a good outcome OP.

Horizon hit me with a PIP with multiple other people around the same time. All good sales reps with 5+ years for Horizon. It was roughly a year before the shutdown of the primary care division. It was a good savings for them to not pay out severances. They essentially blamed all of us for bad performance when in reality it was loss of coverage as we performed very well in our careers. Went from respecting the company to losing all respect for leadership. Woke to Broke and they voted for it.

There was a systematic removal of people that were placed on PIP's. The goal was to get to a certain number of headcount without a layoff. Lizzy G was tasked with this initiative by TW

Interesting... I would love some type of evidence regarding this. They had multiple people with good records questioning their insanity. Multiple territory reps fell off so quickly when they produced their entire careers. They targeted individuals and screwed them out of a severance. SAD AND PATHETIC.
