After sacking half of Organon by SP, Merck is now ditching the other half. The Dutch are in shock and very naive. Did they not see this coming? Many thanks to Weijers from Akzo who killed Dutch Pharma innovation for a paint factory. Balkenende and his lost government let it happen twice. The shareholders already moved on, only Hassan and his gang pocketed the multimillions. Good luck to the many employees and families that lost their future.

amen to that! What a scam. Hassan and his cronies stole the show.
 


Apparently merck is screwing things up, where SP seemed to be adequately informed about local laws mercks arrogance is catching up with them. The final outcome will probably not change but there might just be a significant delay in closing down R&D in Oss.
 




And you know...Merck faces two legal proceedings this month in The Netherlands and no reorganization or closing down of R&D has taken place yet. Mr. Frazier is told to be responsible in person for the failure of the latest negotiations with regard to an overtake by a third party.

Today a demonstration took place in Oss, the Netherlands where Merck (named MSD in Europe) wants to reduce 2000 jobs, in 2 weeks a demonstration will take place in Amsterdam.

...It's crazy to kill this the site, fka Organon, which created 'The Pill', Remeron, Thyrax, Nuvaring, etc. There's so much concentrated knowledge and experience and Merck is not interested in it att all. MSD rather wants to kill this site than selling it. Even though it will take a lot of research down the drain for REAL drugs (in comparison with drugs for annoying coughs).
