Anyone else considering raising their hand during next separations?

I'm about as disengaged as I can get in this job and I would rather leave on my own terms. If they offer to accept IT staff that raise their hand in the next round of separations I may do just that. My only cause for concern is that literally everyone raises their hand.

You’ve seen our pipeline lately haven’t you? A cynic might say it’s Keytruda and a whole lotta fluff. As soon as the profits dry up, we need to keep paying the dividends and increasing the share price somehow. Why not the traditional Merck way, by reducing costs, which means more separations.

Yes they should start from those useless director/executive director level idiots who don't produce anything yet waste tons of money travelling across the world for site visits for weeks at a time

The problem is it’s turtles all the way down from there. Where do we stop, at VP level, at CxO level?

Why leave when you get paid for doing nothing? This is the best job ever. Just go through the motions and write out a new strategy or charter for your team. Easy money.

because this place is toxic, because the longer you stay at Merck the less serious employers respect you professionally, because you might actually want to achieve some of your career goals, because probability says it will be you getting pink slipped one day.
