Background Check

I am up to the final interview stage and Takeda has initiated a background check on me. The final stage of the interview is a meeting with the Regional Director. Do any of you know approximately how many candidates would typically interview with the Regional Director?

Thank you.

Corp policy is a minimum of 3 - TM likes to have 5 interview so he can cut 3 "on the spot" that sets up the two finalists. Did you already talk with TM and this is the final ?

usually 1-2 go to meet RSD, they are looking for any red flags DM may have missed. background check usually done only on candidate they will make an offer to. did you mean they are checking your references?

They are not checking my references. They are conducting a background check through their 3rd party vendor. Once this is complete, I believe I will be meeting with the Regional Director for th final step of the interview.

Following your phone interview, pending that you did well & that they want to move you forward, you should receive an e-mail from Takeda HR about scheduling a face to face appointment with the DM. I would say to expect an e-mail 2-4 days after your phone interview.

Typically the DM does not give the offer. This is done by Human Resources and any compensation negotations that take place would be between the DM & yourself, or in this case it would be between the hiring agency and their contact in HR @ Takeda or the DM directly.

Hey OP, have YOU done your background check on Takeda? Then why are you still thinking about taking a meeting with an RSD? I'd suggest you ask him why should you come work for this train wreck? Sad thing is his selling skills probably won't be too good. I bet his opening statement will be "Hey candidate! How's Takeda goin?"
