Employment applications often ask if ever convicted of a crime. Employees can be terminated for lying. Better to be honest up front or risk losing the job later.
as a rule, I think that if u killed one person, it wouldn't disqualify you for employment here. But you may have a difficult time with HR, if you killed more than one person.
I see this as a problem. This was a violent act you committed and unfortunately things like this have an effect in the future. My only guess is that the story of what happened involves being intoxicated, young and stupid, etc. and that people can see it for what you say it is.

Don't lie on the application. That will be the kiss of death, particularly on top of a violent felony charge. Computer background programs are commonly used by HR. My spouse is in HR with a big company. They run the checks on serious contenders for a position. It's one of the last steps. That sort of lie would be a non negotiable deal braker. End of subject. On the other hand, if that is your first and only offense and there is some sort of explanation, HR may find a way to work around it. Be up front and be the one to put it on the table. If nothing else, you will be respected for doing so and walk out with your dignity intact. Good luck.
