Best managers with gsk

All this talk about bad managers----that list could go on forever. The only good ones left long time ago. All this company has now are useless wannabee's. Can anyone name a good one that is still with this company???

Over the course of many years I have had MANY managers, sometimes 2 or 3 in a year. I can count on one hand (with a few fingers left over) the bad ones. I have had many GREAT managers at GSK... but I would NEVER put their names on CP, because one of the typical "low lifes" on here would post some concocted lie about someone they never knew or worked for. It's not a fun or easy job for the ones who really care. I have had 2 different managers who quit in disgust when GSK told them to get rid of people and they refused. Not many of that kind around anymore, but they do exist.
I have been very fortunate, because this job is only as good as your manager, and if he/she is good, the job rocks. If they suck, the job is even worse!

Juan Gonsalves is a very stand up guy and understands the business..............not looking forward to Tony Mauro. Mauro thinks standing up is only standing up for himself........at least Juan stands up for his reps..............OMG how is Mauro still with the company!!!!!!!!!!!!!

SHAMELESS@@@@@@@@@@@@@

R.D. in Southern California by far the best manager I've ever worked with at GSK. Works hard, cares, is straight up with communications and knows his stuff. It sure would be nice to work for him again, and not this inept egomanic I have now. Latest manager is the total opposite. Not to be trusted, selfish, and talks trash about the other reps. It defies logic that he has been around so long. I wish I didn't need the job

As far as I know, GlaxoSmithKline is about as unethical as they come. The managers follow suit, and suck at the corporate tit because they get paid to do so. I had the great unfortune to be a part of this appalling industry under some of the most morally disgusting individuals I have ever come in contact with. The mere thought of what I sold, and what I was told to do by the company makes me want to vomit.

I have nothing but negative things to say about the company and management, and find solace in the fact that one day, they will all fail.

Many of the "survivors" in management have decided to sell their souls. Let's be honest, anyone with any moral fiber would do whatever the fuck possible to get out of GSK. Here's the problem.

- Most don't have the balls
- Most turn the other way regarding the decay which they are part of
- Most will be completely hypocritical and say one thing but believe another
- Most understand that once this is over they are over, no confidence at all
- Most don't give a shit about anyone but themselves and will continue to help promote junk

Here, here!! Well said and on the money! I was picked for ELD, graduated from the program years ago and the only things I have to add, is lack of morality goes all the way to the top, and every manager I ever made contact with were nothing more but profiteers and accessories to many types of illicit criminal conspiracies.

I actually read all 14 pages of Deirdra's speech she gave today at the 8th Annual Pharmaceutical Compliance Congress. She must have read the print from toilet paper, because there was nothing in it but feces!

Deirdre you are fooling no one, but yourself! The PhRMA code of '02, was nothing but the fox guarding the hen house, and the revamped one of '09 is nothing but more of the same! Your industry has lost the public's trust; rightfully so, and you conclude that the public should just forget your past behaviors, because of your new set of "core values"? Your audience was supposed to be impressed that you actually called a Dr. ("thought leader") in California personally to explain these values? Oh how lucky he was to be graced by your genuine care and concern! I'm sure he kept the line clear of any other calls, because yours was so monumental to his practice! Right!

Deirdre you have it all wrong! You have lost the trust of the public and health care professionals, simply because you cannot be trusted! Unfortunately for you, history has made it is quite clear that your industry is quite incapable of "doing the right thing" unless you are under constant direct and oppressive supervision from the Department of Justice, and even then your kind will still try to sneak by with whatever you can get away with! Just because you say you've changed, doesn't make it true! What you fail to understand, and it is abundantly clear in your pathetic attempt to spin your problems to a positive outcome; is that Leadership, Ethics and Morals are about doing the "right thing" when no one is watching. Of course now, everyone is watching!
