Best worst divisions to work for

Can anyone give some feedback on what they think the best division is to work for and what is the dog division of the company and why? Trying to learn a little more (honestly) about the structure here and where is a good place to be. Thanks,

Valleylab, Autosuture for best comp I would say. Don't know much about the vascular side. Hernia and Syneture are in a flooded arena and not really killing the market so minimal upside financially anymore. Kendall Sharp Safety or whatever it is currently called is entry level med sales.

Hope this helps.

Vascular, followed by Valleylab. Upper management comes from the old vascular business and they think their Mansfield sh*t don't stink. They'll look down on other business units and favor Vascular. If you can kiss ass here, you'll do well. There is also lots of gravy-training off of acquired business from VNUS,Bacchus and ev3.

Valleylab has best products of its kind and rolls out new product pretty smoothly.

Anything out of North Haven is an utter disaster. They're still trying to grind away at the old-school mentalty that nearly crippled the organization.

Energy-based Devices (Valleylab) is a great organization. Great products, pretty solid strategic vision, sales leadership all carried a bag at one point, most of them for Valleylab. Been there for 5 years and have no plans to look elsewhere.

Since MDT is the grass there still green? Are things pointing vertically north?

Market is pretty saturated. Now that companies like Gyrus & Olympus are no longer relevant, it's you vs. Stryker (reprocessing), Ethicon, and Intuitive. With many facilities reprocessing most vessel sealers, some open & laparoscopic procedures transitioning to robotics (at least in metropolitan areas), you have your work cut out for you in terms of maintaining/growing your book year over year.
