I don't work for BIO anymore. They do have superior home monitoring, but they don't have many other things necessary to thrive in the U.S. Market. I am objective about my opinions on algorithms. Vibes and beeps weren't necessary when I didn't have them and they still are not now that I do.
Patients at ERI are either nervous about "the battery just dying" or are blissfully ignorant of what's going on. Either way - these alerts do nothing to help either group, instead they lead to patients calling the clinic 8 months before ERI insisting they felt it vibrate or heard it beep, and they want to come in on a busy clinic day to have someone interrogate. That's when you turn that feature off.
You made the point: "Yeah if I didn't have it in my bag I would say it's no big deal too."
Well, by the same token, don't insist that because you do have beeps and vibes, that makes them important.
