Worried about how clueless you are. Jorge is in-charge of the new tests that KC keeps advertising. The MRD and MCED. Get it? He is the one who is directly responsible. He is the one who brings all these trash VPs in Bioinformatics and Wet-lab to lead the development. If you don't know who the single point of failure in your organization is, then you deserve to be where you are.

He did not do me wrong. I sat down with him and asked him what his vision for the MRD was, early-on. Which cancer type was Exact interested in targeting for the MRD. His answer? Maybe CRC, maybe breast-cancer. Then he wanted to do fragmentomics, TAPS and everything else on the news. When I asked him to be specific. He said - he is still trying to figure it out. And he still hasn't.

Good luck. Sounds like the cluelessness is rampant - up and down the chain. Down to your level.
 


He is not going anywhere. He isn't even your biggest problem. It is the pea-brained CSO Jorge Garces, and the garbage he keeps hiring to lead Bioinformatics and software development. Wet lab leadership is ok. It is the sad creatures in computational biology and bioinformatics led by worthless Mazloom (who Jorge Garces hired). Mazloom got rid of all qualified people (with a background in oncology assay development). He removed them, pushed them out and hired his boyfriends from the defunct junk company en-masse. And his boyfriends have zero background in oncology assay development. That company only developed NIPT assays. Somehow Jorge Garces (who has scrambled eggs for brains) thought that Mazloom is the leader.

KC is out of touch. What is KC supposed to sell if R&D cannot deliver on newer products in a very competitive space?

The company needs to be shut down and pawned off, the Invitae way.
Idk where you work that you think wet lab leadership is "ok" - that is one of the most laughable things in this thread.

with the stock price in dumps and the low bonuses, no RSUs - why will somebody smart be like to be employed at this company at all?
No one with any competence would willingly work for ES, we all know the absurdity of the company and it's product. Smart people only end up there out of necessity, due to job loss or partner relocation type matters. ES has no problem letting talent walk out the door. I've seen this company f' over way too many talented folks. And their poor reputation is well known in the industry now, which limits who they can attract.

Same cycle for the last 10 years. This company has never launched anything successfully except a product that has no competition and was in dire need for IDNs to make more money on prevention
