BRM Salary Range

Welcome to Genzyme/Sanofi.

They won't pay you anywhere close to the other biotech companies. All divisions are seeing people leave left and right. Who can blame them when they're being offered 30k more in salary and either similar bonus or 20k more.

not true....I am certain of a biotech rep with 10+ years experience got a base of 155k here per the offer letter. Depends on what experience you have and current salary, awards, etc.

This.

People are leaving for salaries in the 140-160k range in biotech. With avg bonuses around 60k. That's what is being offered out there.

Yes, you are correct on this. My girlfriend is at 147k (came in at 145k) so the little 2k raise for the 16' year at her biotech company. I have heard of some people with more experience getting 160k.

What is the salary range for a CSA with several years of rare disease experience?

The bottom is at 85k . You are in a better situation if you have experience, but avg salary is around 110k. I know some with several years experience that make around the 85k and I know a select few that make around 140. But they have been with the company a long time. Other biotechs in Rare pay a lot more.

There are 4 bonus structures for CSA/CAA

level 1: 30k
Level 2: 45k
Level 3: 60k
Executive: 70k

They will always try and put you at a level 1 if you are new. If you have a manager fight for you, you might get level 2. But it's not easy.

Thanks for the information. I really appreciate it. 110k is far below my current salary.

You're welcome.
I don't blame you. 110k is far below most in biotech, especially Rare. Everyone is bailing for much higher pay. You also get your annual 1% raise every year regardless if you are an all-star.

While the Genzyme part isn't as bad as Sanofi, it's becoming more like it. So the culture is dwindling drastically. Good luck to you.

I was verbally told what the total comp plan would be, which is actually "decent". when I receive the official offer in writing, do you think it is negotiable? And does HR make that decision or does it have to go back to the hiring manager for approval? Thanks in advance.

Sanofi doesn't NOT negotiate on offers. Did you interview for an ABM position or BRM position? I think the comp structures are different with sales having more potential upside.
