Anybody hear updates/news/rumors about BTI 2.0? It was announced in late September. There was supposed to have been a Town Hall in late October. So far, haven't heard of any additional communication.
PMs in JS's group getting cut big time or apply for positions. DBAs moving from BASSD to BTI, supposedly to suffer the same fate as the rest of BTI. After the BTI Town Hall a couple weeks ago, no one had any motivation the rest of the day, for some reason.
BTI 2.0 isn't the issue. I heard what was communicated. Spend reductions across the board, all of Pfizer and all of BT. This is Pfizer 2.0 and not just an element of BT. Look at the wider view and see what is really happening.
Some of the BT infrastructure is starting to resemble that bridge on the interstate in Minneapolis just before it collapsed....certain things are so old that even the original OEMs and vendors refuse to support it any more....yet the BT LT aka the politburo deny funding for upgrades...meanwhile happy to build an iPhone app for some guy who is traveling the world and has to fumble for conf call numbers a bit. Nice capital allocation decision there.

... it gets even worse -- there's a free BT MeetMe app on app store. It has more functionality and it is bug free (did I mention it's FREE?) And I believe there's also a Blackberry and Android version.
But well, I guess the music man does have money to fund that. Look how many Directors it takes to launch one useless app (not to mention one Sr Director). And by the way, I doubt any of those guys has any mobile experience. But well, that's the Pfizer model - anybody can do any job, no prior knowledge required. Kissing the right ass and a litte bit of power point is the only required skill. THAT'S WHY BT GOING DOWN!
