Can we really compete

As a long standing rep I have seen many changes in the energy market. The Enseal accusation was tough, but it has turned out to be beneficial. The reprocessing has definitely posed a challenge. The delay on our large jaw is unfortunate. Now we have the small jaw from Covidien as well as a wireless ultrasonic device coming out soon. Does anyone else feel we are losing our position as market leader or better yet, spending our R&D money in the wrong areas?

Seriously, dude, we have not been the market leader in years. Covidien has always killed us.

What's the benefit or purpose of a wireless ultrasonic?

Funny Thing is the company that developed this gave EES first shot . It is expensive and very bulky.
I would be more concerned when someone comes out with bipolar and ultrasonic all in 1 device.

We are having major problems brother...just go pull a Bloomberg Magazine and you will see what I am talking about. We have been talking about the reprocessing battle for years and we have nothing to show for it. We are losing, I heard Mayo has not bought a Harmonic from us in over 18 months. Our fear tactics only work for a short time on Ascent customers, and then they end up resenting us because of it. I am tired of it, its almost like we need to be competing within our company, my focus is on just doing better than my peers.

LOSING BATTLE

As a long standing rep, you know that hospitals count on reprocessing to cut costs, and we are here to jack up their prices so we can get PAID! Lets focus on scaring docs to change their perception of safety.
