C'mon let's have some news!

Well Pfizer legacy may be gone but the infusion of the more competent Wyeth ITer's has turned around this once lack luster organization. So much good stuff now !!! Look to Collegeville for true innovation. Yea NYO and Madison is dead.

You've got to be kidding! You must be legacy Wyeth.
They are 15 years behind the times! Their IT strategy is straight out of 1995. And I can back this up! The smartest thing they did in Wyeth IT was outsource SAP support to Accenture.

Go online to CIO mag online and see all Jeff is doing to move Pfizer out of the dark ages.
You must be one of the few still holding on in NY or Madison, your days are numbered.
SAP will be live in the US soon and then the total dismantling of all the error prone Pfizer apps will begin. Finance BT, the first to go !!!

When one looks at what L-Pfizer has done over the past couple of years. Oracle ERP sucks, the Hyperion stuff sucks, ... It is about time we get some true IT leadership even if it has to come from L-Wyeth IT from Collegeville.

True IT leadership is coming from NYC. Frank pulls he strings, Jeff dances...

Totally true. And Jeff ain't making his numbers, kids. It's going to be painfully clear who controls BT once Lipitor goes off patent. 2012 will be a bloody year, mark my words.

Start with the Directors and Senior Managers that have zero direct reports that seem to latch on to others success to keep their name out there..

How about directors and senior directors who do nothing but manage up? I can think of several if not dozens who would not pass "the bus test"? U all know of the bus test, right? also can name several entire groups within It that would not pass the "bus test"....

Good point. Meanwhile, the "technical" FTE's are cut, and the "non-technical" BT folks stick around. End state = "non-technical" FTE's at the mercy of HP/Accenture's "technical" expertise, with no checks and balances to call out their failures, lies and shenanigans...

It not that Sr Management believes we're overstaffed, it's that PFE is fiscally irresponsible and has absolutely no idea how to, nor a plan to cut costs other than the easy head count cuts.

Pfizer has been cutting for years, to the bone and then through it !
It is unfortunate that Pfizer BT is still being let go in large numbers. It is sad to have to constantly worry about being unemployed or having to suck up to Collegeville.
