CMR courses no longer required

So why do we no longer have to do CMR courses??? It's like LP was just DEMOTED and things are changing already!! (not necessarily for the better BTW).

So does management think that people didn't get much out of the CMR classes????

CMR is not mandatory for anyone related to their competencies or to move to the next level. You can still complete just not mandatory in a particular time frame.

Seems to me taking away a mandate for time spend on education for people with years in the industry is not a bad thing. However, if you are newer and want to do them, it probably would impress.

So I wasted hours completing these? One thing I've learned at Purdue is wait until the very last minute to do anything assigned because it's usually changed, often after you've spent hours working on it. And, usually a complete waste of time.

So true! Early on, there was this rep in the south who would always tell me as I freaked out, 'calm down, just wait two weeks'. He was right 95% of the time!

Before every meeting I would always spend hours working on all the assignments and usually things would be changed the day before causing double the work. Then, at the meeting we would not even cover any of it. Now I just don't do anything and I've never had a problem. When I was first hired and we had those reports to do for the first 13 weeks. I knew my DM never read a single report so I started putting funny, provocative statements in them to see if he would comment. Total waste of time. I think upper management just needs something to say "Look what we are doing" What a cluster.
