I am an independent sales rep and want to use a personal computer to organize my customer information. My sales binder right now is huge and heavy. What is my best choice for computer/programs?
I don't want to spend a fortune ($700.00 ipad) if I can get away without doing so

I looked up Sales Beaver but that is strickly for the ipad. I also checked out act but I don't know alot about these things.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks

Check out 'Oprius' below. There's a bunch out there. Just do a search. Or go to Staples, Office Max, etc and see what you can buy. You could go really cheapo and create your own template using one of the free 30 day trial programs as an example and then just cancel the trial. Word to the wise..read the fine print with these *free* trials before you sign up. HTH!

There are a lot of smaller biotech pharma companies that have gone to commission only -- maybe I'm confusing independent rep with straight commission jobs.

There ARE independent medical sales reps for a myriad of equipment, products, etc. You just have to dig.

Hey DD, I just went there and searched "independent sales representative medical" and "independent sales representative pharmaceutical" and they returned nothing.

I've never met anyone in over 20 years that was an independent pharma rep.

Most sales, other than pharma, you work for a distributor or are the distributor hence independent sales rep. Happens a lot in device.

Hey Answerass,

Click on the CafePharma Job Center (2 Threads down from the Darkened Sample Closet). You'll see many companies looking for independent reps.

You breally need to get out more and expand your knowledge base.
