So if its true of what happened in Hawaii. Is it true for all meetings, conventions, etc.. Does this happen on a regular basis. What other kind of tasteless behavior goes on at these sales meetings. Concerned spouse.

Keep your mind on the house work and take care of the kids. There is a lot of stress and tension at these meetings - especially at this company. Lots of politics and maneuvering. We work hard and play hard. Sometime we stray for the good of the family.

I wish I was not straying all the way to California for what seems to be the most completely pointless NSM in the history of pharma. Should be interesting watching everyone parade on stage and fake it though.

Hawaii are you kidding me. Your company must be selling so much drugs that you all should retire. This is what is wrong with this industry. Companies like this go to Hawaii for a NSM and expect doctors to write your drugs!!!

Next time your Dr. writes a script for a serious infection you have, just refuse to take it. That way you'll be true to your beliefs and you can have your own personal boycott of the pharmaceutical industry. If you survive let us know how it worked out.

You mean that STD she gets from her husband as a result of the NSM? Classic!

Enough of all this. Do the math, make a offer, and let's get on with life.

Be careful what you wish for. The first part of "getting on with life" for corporate after a buyout may be a company wide downsizing and long term unemployment. I say... take your time with the math, be very selective with any buyout offers, haste makes waste.

I think we all agree that it's a catch 22 here. Buyout now and some may be out of work for a long while. I have a plan B, C and D so hopefully by now others do too.

On the other hand, most cannot stand it here much longer. It is a real freak show here with no direction what so ever other than "please grow your sales". This of course mostly applies to those of us that launched this drug and have suffered for the past 2 years. All the new people seem to be quite happy to just have a job. Don't blame them just saying.

Go ahead and say "just leave then" or "we don't want you anyway". I am riding this thing out and hopefully going to make some extra money along the way.

Perhaps many of us should place aside the sense of entitlement and actually get out and work.. Sure, we have many challenges (including an abomination of leadership) but if the focus was selling rather than sitting home, waiting and/or doing nothing maybe sales would be better and we would all feel slightly more secure.. Nothing bothers me more than those that rant and rave on these forums and ultimately do nothing.. Great plan! Believe it or not, there are plenty of extremely talented and unemployed reps who would love to be here.. If you choose to stay here, maybe consider deploying a modicum of effort to bring home an extra bottle? Just a thought... At the end of the day, this is a far cry from what I signed up for, however I'd rather be out there doing something, rather than nothing...
