Considering applying for the account manager in Boston?

Considering applying for Boston and it looks like there are a number of jobs open. Is it a good team and environment up there? What is starting pay in that area? Serious answers only please. Cheers

There is no manager and the director is less educated than you. Anytime you see more than 1 opening in a particular area, RED FLAG. Salary will be half of any real Med device company. Most likely start u at 60k as a rep which is below the poverty level in northeast.

Word of advice, don’t end statements with Cheers. Not professional and company doesn’t need another drunk on board.

While I can't speak for the position in Boston, having previously worked for Applied it has its issues just like everywhere else these days. I don't think $60K is a starting salary for an established AM, especially not in a metropolitan city, maybe for an associate, although the salaries are lower than industry standards. A good rep that wants to grind can make triple that amount with commission, however in transparency, the commission change this year was the reason I jumped ship, and then my new company changed their structure 3 months into the role, so it's everywhere.

Like everywhere, there is good and bad management, from my understanding the director has changed and another manager in the Northeast area who had a reputation for being a poor leader has also left so you may be in OK shape to apply. Don't listen to the negative posts, they are typically from the people that couldn't hack it, got fired, or couldn't manage their way out of a paper bag. Good luck with your search.

$125k in SoCal and grinding. dude that’s fucking pathetic.

please take note bragging about making $125k in most expensive area of country.

Great post and very correct.

People need to use inflation calculators more to understand the value of these jobs.

In Southern California, you are not going anywhere in life with a 125K comp, when you consider the cost of living, the traffic challenges, and high taxes.

Don’t take the job! If you do, one of two things will happen. You will immediately regret your decision or you will get Stockholm Syndrome and waste years where you could have made much more money in a much more stable environment.

Please take note that you are missing the context for myself. My house is paid for. Will grind, and enjoy the current Bubble, until it bursts.

Laughed at "...current Bubble..."
What bubble is that? Applied's been cutting budgets and lowering comp plans by making objectives less attainable for the past year or so. If there's any "bubble" in terms of corporate revenue it's being taken from the pockets of employees.
