You have to love idiots who come out with blanket statements like "Management weak, products even weaker." This obviously comes from someone who either does not know the management/products, or someone who did not perform.

2-3 years ago, the organization needed some significant improvement and that was done. The rep level talent has improved dramatically over that time and is now extremely strong. That may explain why they increased sales by 20% this year and are adding staff instead of most other pharma groups that are laying off. That tends not to happen with poor products and poor managemnet.
 
20% growth over what baseline? This company is a joke. If that arrogant Ass JH is so talented then why did he run a division into the ground at his old company?They are just trying to keep this together to sell off the Division or what is left of the products.

If you want to work hard and get rewarded for your efforts, definitely. Best way for you to make up your mind is to sit down with the DM in question. Where are you looking to work. I think the only open territory in the company is Phoenix.

Great territory with a ton of potential. Really good DM for that market. Whole team loves working for him and they are always one of the best teams in the company.

If he brings you on board grab the chance with both hands.
 
The VP of sales will play head games with you and ask you a lot of stupid questions. Just play along and tell him how he made you think and that you appreciate how you learned something about yourself.

If you work hard and get lucky with your territory they will treat you ok. The one caution is that there are a lot of stories going around that the company and or the products are for sale.

You read some of the responses CP and you can tell that asshole is trying to sell people on this company. If you want to get into derm and you do not have any experience than give it a shot. Otherwise, the better company's are Medicis and Galderma by far.

Get "lucky" with your territory? It's called working. The new comp plan with profit sharing for new product will make us the envy of the industry. Products are all loved by docs, sound mgmt, great comp plan, what more could a person want? If you think things are better at bigger pharmas, be my guest and go there!
