Could this posting be from Stryker?

I ran across this job posting earlier today and it interested me, as I am trying to break into a medical sales/device career and it matches all my skill sets. However, something tells me this is from Stryker and I've been told countless times from recruiters and other reps to steer clear of them.

...If it's not Strykyer, does anyone out there have any thoughts as to which device company this could be? And also, do any of you current reps out there have any thoughts in regards to which companies would be most accepting of a potential employee (me) with 1 1/2 years of successful B2B experience in food sales and a science-based college education?

Probably Intuitive, but I'd steer clear of them too.

Scared you won't get the job because you weren't a student athlete? You do know why there is a stereotype of preferring this type of background right? Let me lay it out for you- since SYK is so numbers and growth focused, there is results based evidence (current successful and tenured reps) that a competitive, motivated to win individual (with an athletic background) will do whatever it takes to hit their number. It is that simple.

Are there non athletes in the various business units? Of course, it would be naive and stupid to think otherwise. In fact, most in my region do not come from athletic backgrounds.

If you are willing to believe recruiters to "steer clear of Stryker" then you probably aren't cut for this company anyway. Probably wouldn't pass the Gallup portion of the interview process.

Why would you want Stryker? Q1 Reconstructive sales just grew 2% How wonderful!!!!!
They have had the same VP of Sales for years and still can't grow sales. They lost a great Area VP in Texas and what is left is poor at best. They have some good managers but they also have guys around for 20 years who are really weak. There are much better options. Weak management says a lot and it shows in sales growth.
