When every online practice building vet business advertises in social media instead of the veterinary channel, it's no wonder that clients feel they are viewed as profit centers.
It’s also unsettling that the Vets First Choice customers are, for the most part, unaware that their clinic / customer data can be used for whatever the hell the new organization wants to use it for. I’ve already heard that customers are complaining to their clinic about receiving emails and offers from VFC that have nothing to do with the clinic offerings. Amazing what you can do with personal and purchase history data of unaware customers - the ol reach around.

Brown-nosing fools corporate, not the rep on the street. Don't see too many from the Ivory Tower hoofing it on the street.
What is also amazing is how big a lie this is. Covetrus holds itself to a higher standard and does not sell customer’s data. If that were true there would be no way they could stay in business.
It’s sad that instead of changing and trying to do more to help the Veterianry industry, like Covetrus is doing, you have to spread lies. So you can feel safe with not having to change.
Shame on you
This is a very true statement. Covetrus is not perfect it does cut margins to the Vet, but if the Vet does not have their web driven sales Chewy will get them. If they sold the data or let’s say tried to circumvent the Vet Rxing it would end Covetrus. Reality is almost everything is available on line now and at least for products the Vet needs a presence. What happens when Chewy goes to “tele-medicine”? It is a tough world for the small veterinarian now their business is attacked from many sides (on-line pharmacy, manufactures cutting deals with the largest customers, corporate leverage, ect.). For 25 years I have been hearing these jobs and the industry would not exist. Never been true, never will be. The business is simply changing just like everyone business is because of advancements in technology.
“Covetrus isn’t perfect, but...” Well I’m not sure that’s the general consensus. Evidently VCA and VMG would disagree with your post. Perhaps that’s at least part of the reason the stock is at about half the price of the IPO of $50 and now down to around $25.well put
Congratulations on continuing to do such a great job in Animal Health. Stock opened not too long ago at $50. Now you are down to $18.59. This is the way to lower the bar for the rest of us. Keep up the good work!
