COVETRUS

When every online practice building vet business advertises in social media instead of the veterinary channel, it's no wonder that clients feel they are viewed as profit centers.

It’s also unsettling that the Vets First Choice customers are, for the most part, unaware that their clinic / customer data can be used for whatever the hell the new organization wants to use it for. I’ve already heard that customers are complaining to their clinic about receiving emails and offers from VFC that have nothing to do with the clinic offerings. Amazing what you can do with personal and purchase history data of unaware customers - the ol reach around.

What is also amazing is how big a lie this is. Covetrus holds itself to a higher standard and does not sell customer’s data. If that were true there would be no way they could stay in business.
It’s sad that instead of changing and trying to do more to help the Veterianry industry, like Covetrus is doing, you have to spread lies. So you can feel safe with not having to change.
Shame on you

This is a very true statement. Covetrus is not perfect it does cut margins to the Vet, but if the Vet does not have their web driven sales Chewy will get them. If they sold the data or let’s say tried to circumvent the Vet Rxing it would end Covetrus. Reality is almost everything is available on line now and at least for products the Vet needs a presence. What happens when Chewy goes to “tele-medicine”? It is a tough world for the small veterinarian now their business is attacked from many sides (on-line pharmacy, manufactures cutting deals with the largest customers, corporate leverage, ect.). For 25 years I have been hearing these jobs and the industry would not exist. Never been true, never will be. The business is simply changing just like everyone business is because of advancements in technology.

Congratulations on continuing to do such a great job in Animal Health. Stock opened not too long ago at $50. Now you are down to $18.59. This is the way to lower the bar for the rest of us. Keep up the good work!

How is the stock doing on the company you started? How is your company helping the veterinarian?

Henry Schein is the #1 vet distribution company in the United States, and has continued to be through the merger. Writing these lies on a message board doesn’t make them truths, and doesn’t make you a better rep. Strive to be better, strive to be like us. Right now you’re falling short, but maybe one day you’ll start making yourself better.

. Someone doesn't know Schein sold their animal health business to First Vet. They say Schein is in the picture behind the scene but they're not involved in operations or strategy. Managers know this. Why else is one shopping for a clinic to buy for his vet school graduate?
