Anybody familiar with Dexcom? They make gluscose monitoring devices. Got a call from a recruiter, sounds like a good opportunity.

As was previously mentioned, they currently do not have insurance coverage for the product. I believe they are looking to change that with managed care sales people & ultimately contracts. Without third party reimbursement, they are dead.
Another point to consider - stock options. Supposidly, J&J has an interest - the time for J&J to develop something like this would be significant and buying it gives them an existing platform to use with their Lifescan blood glucose monitors (J&J also bought the pump company Animas). Furthermore, J&J has a brusied ego from losing the battle to acquire Guidant to Boston Scientific and as such, J&J wants to "roar" again in the acqusition world and conquer (buy) another company so the market does not think they have lost their touch to do deals.
Dexcom has good technology and mgt, but without insurance reimbursement, they do not have a prayer. Also - their recent financing will likely need to carry them to the promise land as getting more money in 6 mos or so without having managed care contracts will be very difficult.
