DM meeting next week to discuss realignment?

Yes... heard thru the grape vine... sounds like there should be some rumbling going on by the end of next week. Let's be real... we are so overlapped! Do we really need all these reps? Think about it! Lot's of fat to trim....lots of open positions... too many innovex folks... a plethora of senior reps making over 80k base... and non performers.. who has the skinny?
 


Definitely a lot of fat to trim, heard they are going to keep one rep per territory for eye care to sell to top 140 rxers in territory (OD and MD combined). Will be cutting out all other reps and expanding territories but innovex also up for these positions. I read this on here too but heard this from my DM down here in the S East. Anyone else hear anything? Terrified.....
 


This thread is a bunch of BS. Stop the paranoia! Cuts were decided against in the fall. Eye Care reps have two product launches in 2013. You don't cut sales reps during a launch. Allergan and B&L have multiple reps attacking our business. You don't respond to that with fewer soldiers in the fight. Do your job and you'll be fine.

Keep drinking that kool aid buddy-you must be on the inside!

Cuts are definitely coming. You just haven't heard about them yet. And guess what? Alcon is aware that field sales reps don't actually have an impact. Managed Care has an impact, which is why we will be cutting sales $ and shifting it to Managed Care.

Whoever says they got laid off is lying - probably an Allergan rep. Nobody knows a damn thing, even the DMs, until early next week. There's no point in us all freaking out and ruining our weekend. Something obviously is going on - the last-minute DM meeting in Ft Worth, the fact that neither SEE or Eye Care has booked flights for a National Meeting happening in a month... but it could be a simple territory/ DM realignment vs actual layoffs. Fingers crossed?
