Be wary of joining Vertex...the HR department is in a mess and could be a reflection of all divisions in the company.

Yes. Here in Boston for meeting (another company) and I agree that Vertex has a very nice building and the Vertex name on the building is colorful and can be seen from miles away. They definitely got their name out there!

It was the hot place to work from 2010-early 2013. Big layoffs came in November 2013 and a shaky future and revolving door since then. CF has been approved and expanded, but its a shaky future. Lots of takeover rumors. Too much reliance on rare disease pricing in a new political age of both political parties calling for price controls and medicare negotiation.

All the smart people are gone from Vertex- If you were a monkey and could play money see monkey do, you got to stay. If you were any threat for a job that your first or second line manager might be in line for- Then you were pushed out !!!!! Some of the dumbest people I have met work there !!!!
