Don't Interview With PDI

Don't interview with this company.

The recruiter notifys you the day before the actual interview with logistical information that is inaccurate. Once you finally get the accurate location and time, you must drive 8 hours to get there because flights are sold out. You must put the hotel on your own credit card because PDI forgot to book your room.

During the interview the interviewer looks at your years of experience and successes and ask you - why would you want this job?

To make matters worse, you need to get one of your attorney friends to write them a letter to try to get your $800 travel cost back.

Don't try calling PDI headquarters for help with reimbursement. Even the emergency Health Care Provider prompt puts you on hold...then disconnects.

What an organization! Still waiting.

I know this experience, but not as badly as you do. A PDI recruiter calls me to interview. We talk for 30 minutes. She says she is going to move me forward for an interview with the hiring manager and then asks me if I can be in a city 3 hours away in two days? I reply in the affirmative. She says "I will call you later today with the location". I didn't hear from her that day, but I made arrangements to travel by car for the day of the interview. I'm between jobs, so that meant a rental car and childcare, etc. I had to call her back to find out that they weren't moving forward with me, late in the day, the day before the interview. WTF!! I get it that I'm not the perfect candidate for all positions, but for most I am a good fit. If I'm not the right candidate, tell me. What would a phone call hurt?

Exactly! You are just a piece of meat to fill a temporary space on a temporary contract! That's it. You are forgotten and discarded once contract is done. Very, very few ever move onto another contract. Sad, but true . . . . . been there.

First, learn to spell using the English language. It is the international language of business, like it or not. Secondly, your whole racism is everywhere routine, played by INDIVIDUALS of all minorities against whites, is both insulting and wearing thin.
