I'm very interested in obtaining a substitute teaching position in my area and have gone as far as obtaining an application for a local school district. My question is They ask for the last 3 jobs I've worked with dates. Should I list my current job as ending 12/31/18 due to "restructuring"? My concern is IF the school system were to look me up on Linked In they would see my current position and employer. Do you know what I mean ??

Hey Dipper~ been your fan for years. Question— don’t those home health jobs make you hang out at their local office when your not out making calls? I want to take the plunge, but I’m worried those other sales jobs Wont let me be as independent as I am with my Pharma job, which would make it near impossible to pull off. Thoughts?

I thought you would appreciate this. For six months I had two full time sales jobs in pharma. The problem was that I had 2 company cars and I could not put enough miles on both.
Solution: I had my friend drive the car to florida and back to visit his parents.
Very rarely did both DMs request ride-alongs the same week but once in a while I had to call out sick.

Hello Double Dippers. I’ll be double dipping for four weeks. Any suggestions? I will actually be on vacation the entire time (4 weeks) at my old company so I guess I’m double dipping but won’t be working for the old company I’m leaving.

So I wanted to come back to this thread a few later to say thanks to Dipper and a few others. I hope you’re doing well, thanks for everything. This changed my life, for the better. I’m not even in the same industry, but used the knowledge here to make it happen. Happily double dipping since 2017. DIPPER I OWE YOU!

I had the absolute pleasure of Double-Dipping for almost an entire year (April 2021-end of March 2022), and it was an incredibly lucrative endeavor! My primary job was in pharma (pain management -not Purdue), and I picked up the "side-hustle" in Medical device selling CGM, so I called on different offices for both products.
I received a mileage reimbursement/car allowance with the pharma job, and I had a company car with the Medical device job, so I was paid by the pharma company to drive the company car of the Med device company! Freaking awesome!
My pharma manager came down for ride-alongs (literally 4 times in 2021), so there was never any conflict when my Med device came down, and I would just PTO for any district meetings.
Don't get me wrong, it was stressful..The fear of being caught was certainly on my mind, and I definitely had to make sure I kept everything separated as far as expense reports were concerned, and product conversations, but it all paid off.
My pharma company was bought out by another company earlier this year, and I knew I couldn't realistically just stay with the Med Device company since I couldn't use it on my resume; fortunately, I found another Pharma job after I was laid-off post-acquisition, and I subsequently put in my 2 weeks notice at the Med Device company, and exited the "DD life" unscathed!
It was easier to pull this off during Covid -considering all my training with the Med Device company was virtual, so It would probably be more difficult now, but what an experience!
