The few products driving the business at Genentech are not therapeutic areas which benefit from the ecosystem model. Why can’t Roche/ Genentech admit this field structure does NOT work in many therapeutic areas. The pipeline products don’t fit either! The longer you wait to dismantle this mess, the worse it gets. Be honest and look at the disconnect. No other companies will follow because they see how badly it hurts business. It’s the MODEL not the people. Look around. Use business sense! The field is afraid to speak up due to threats from HEDs and HDs. They know their jobs will be “at risk” if the old model is brought back. This company has been destroyed by horrible CEOs with very bad ideas. Ashley, will you be different?

100% agree! Several companies experimented with models similar to this and completely rolled them back.

HDs, HEDs and RVPs are benefiting from this disaster of a model and behind closed doors they agree but are unwilling to give up their overinflated salaries and roles. Time for a change!

I need clarification on all the celebrations for the 1H.

Roche's net income decreased from 2 billion to 1 billion, liabilities increased from 60 billion to 65 billion, and financing costs increased by 50%. So, as a whole, we are less profitable and more in debt. Basel is dragging us down.

It’s called the bait and switch! The incompetence has been proven and the failing structure is now confirmed. The delayed downsizing is coming shortly. The first exercise in April was a last weak attempt to put fear in the field hoping for change. BEMs and HDs will be entering the Hunger Games! All FRMs will be doing the same. Projected 15% reduction to the field force as it stands now. Other roles will also be assessed on individual ecosystem needs. “May the odds be ever in your favor”

Rumor has it a DEI hire female HD in the midwest is about to get a big surprise in the form of a subpoena. She created a hostile environment for a number of very competent employees, and the lawyers are about to strike after compiling a ton of evidence. Several years in the making. Should be fun to watch.

She and her minions made it unbearable for a number of employees to simply do their job. She micromanages, and quite frankly is as dump as a post, though she doesn't realize it. Last company she was with asked her to leave. If you aren't the right color or age, she will target you.
