Entellus has received over 50 million in VC funding, so they have made a big enough dent thus far to prove their technology works. With 30 million recently granted, this can only lead to many new and good things for this company. Acclarent has to be a little nervous.

It seems like that between the J&J purchase and other news that balloon sinuplasty gets more positive ink. I have seen it mentioned as a potential treatment for snoring even.

There also seems to be some confusion between the two procedures. Some people thinking they are the same but just marketed by different companies.

Acclarent certainly benefitted from the news wires when the J&J stuff hit. Which leads of course to people googling 'balloon sinuplasty', etc.
