FAQ

Read through and it is a bunch of non specific mumble jumble lawyer speak. We will be twisting in the wind for months. But stay engaged in the CT launch and Sivextro???

Worst year ever.

Merck will keep our sales force! They do not have a sales organization that knows antibiotics like we do. We will lose some independence but we will still have JOBS!

Does anyone understand what they said about severance? Something about a minimum of 12 weeks plus 2 weeks per year? So if a 2 year employee I can expect 16 weeks or 3 months + to find another job? That seems pretty low compared to other mergers and severance packages, right? Anyone been through this before?

Who were all the seals clapping for at the end of the call? Other then top executives who is happy about this deal? It really seems like the home office and sales force are about 95% gone in early April?

Typical Cubist Sales Force intelligence "Merck isn't in antibiotics" You are all below primary care level reps...so long and looks like good riddance. Cubist sales force is a joke!

Let me work on this severance thing for a minute.

So let's say Merck offers you a position. you STILL have to interview for it. and if you don't get the position, then you get severance?

What if you decide NOT to interview for the position. Can you take the severance and get the hell out?

Merck was offering it's own employees 2 weeks for every year of service as severance. Some got an extra two months due to the WARN act. Those with less that a couple years at Merck basically got nothing. Sad.
